Has anyone had luck emailing the HRH prior to arrival and requesting upgrades? I am a platnium Loews member, booked a club room, can't upgrade to the King Suite (because its 3 max and we're a family of 5), anyone know of any tricks to get a kids suite upgrade? Does anyone know who the current rooms manager is? I never have luck with the front desk staff.
 
I would email Mark Shouger (mshouger@loewshotels.com). Mark is the Rooms Division Director and a great guy. I'm sure he will take care of you.
 
Thanks Ryguy - I actually did email Mark some time ago, but never got a response. I wondered if he had left Hard Rock. I will try again.
 
Once upon a time I e-mailed the GM and he referred me to Gigi--don't remember last name or e-mail--who was very helpful.
 

I sent an e-mail and got a response from Chris Garcia, I think he said he is off today, but you can also pre-register via e-mail or fax if you are Loews Platinum.

He is the Loews 1st Coordinator for the Hard Rock. We are booked in club and hoping for a club deluxe room. (they have upgraded us in the past). Hopefully the upgrade fairy will wave her wand our way!!

Thanks Pathubia. I just called hard rock and confirmed that Mark is still there. I re-sent my email that I sent earlier to him. I wonder if I would have more luck with the Loews First person though - thanks for that info. By the way, we're neighbors - I'm in Duxbury. Nice weather for January isn't it?!

Hi neighbor!! When are you heading to the HRH? We will be there this weekend and I cant wait. I just checked the weather and its 75 in Orlando, last MLK weekend we were at the HRH during a blizzard here.

I am not complaining about the weather here...it has been pretty warm.

Patty - We went last year on MLK weekend. I remember we met people from Braintree when we were there. We weren't going to go this year, but then Jetblue had some great fares - so here we come. We are going the first weekend in Feb.(my kids have off Feb. 2nd, so we took advantage of one less day to miss from school.) Did you already contact them for an upgrade? I tried at the time of reservation, but they said we couldn't fit in the king suite (too many people); however, they did upgrade us to that last year! They said I couldn't upgrade to a kids suite. Not sure what this platnium loews gets me! Have a great time this weekend - lets hope the weather holds out til we get there.

We were there last MLK weekend, too!! This will be our 4th MLK weekend there. I like to break up the winter with a quick trip down, if you remember there was a blizzard here last year, and the year before we had that really cold day that they canceled school for.

We are from Braintree originally, but I dont think it was us, LOL!!! My father come and hangs out with us for the weekend (he lives in Punta Gorda for the winter) and my sister comes down from Deltona for the weekend. We are usualy there to watch the Pats in a Playoff game, we bring our Patriots banner and watch the game in a cabana, but the game this weekend is Saturday night, we will probably watch it on the huge screen in Citywalk.

We always ask for a Kids Suite, but usually get a deluxe room.

Hi Patty - I just got a call from Chris Garcia after sending an email to Hard Rock re: upgrades. Nice Guy - but didn't help much! He said the best I could do is call the day of arrival and see what is available, but there will be an upcharge fee. Hmmmm, still don't understand the benefits of being a platnium member! By the way, what is the deluxe room on the club level. The only room categories I see, are regular, king suite, and kid suite. Thanks
 
The deluxe room has 2 double beds and a pull out couch. Nice sized room. Last January they put us in a deluxe room on the 1st floor with the club benefits and then moved us up the next day. It just isnt club if you're not on floor 7, LOL!!

They don't advertise the deluxe rooms on the club level. There are however five or so of them some being 2 queen deluxes and some being king deluxes. They are booked as a regular club room and sometimes you get lucky and get one. They can be requested but not guaranteed.
 
I sure do. There are actually four deluxe king and four deluxe queen rooms on the club level at HRH. The deluxe king rooms are: 7016,7039,7102,and 7119. The deluxe queen rooms are: 7019,7041,7099,and 7101.

The king deluxes 7016 and 7039 have views of the side parking lot and service areas. They also however have a view of Universal Studios in the distance. 7102 and 7119 have very nice garden and waterway views.

The queen deluxes 7019 and 7041 have views of the hotels front entranceway which is not that attractive. 7099 and 7101 have nice garden views of the great lawn and water waterway.

Now why don't they let you know about the deluxe rooms on the club level? I don't recall ever seeing them listed with pricing. Is there a reason they save them. They have never offered me one for an upgrade. Why the big secret?
 
The deluxe rooms are not offered in the pricing. I read here a couple of years ago that you can request one and if there is one available, they will give it to you. Same as the club level kid suites. (we havent been lucky enough for one of them yet!!)

Macraven, I did meet you by the cabana during halloween horror nights a couple of years ago.

ryguy, in october i had 7100 which is the king suite club and the view there is the park. 2 connecting doors for this room so the room 7102 should be mainly a view of the park


it is a fabulous room and a gorgeous view !
