Hard Rock Hotel Questions

I had a some questions about HRH:
1)Is there an game arcade at the hotel?
2)Do they offer special perks for kids? On the Loews website it says something about Loews loves Kids and mentioned lending libraries of games. Do they have video game systems in the room?
3)Do they have pool activities or other activities at hotel? How often is the Dive In movie and what movies have they shown before?
4)How far of a walk is it to get to City Walk? Would it be feasible to go to Pastamore for breakfast or is it just better to eat at hotel?
5)Are there refrigerators in the room?
6)How bad is an obstructed view room? Is there a certain room number or location to request for this category of room?
7)I had heard that HRH no longer participates in Loews First Program. When I called they said that blue members could still get room upgrade if available at checkin even though they don't participate in this program anymore. Does anyone know if you can still get upgrades?

Thanks in advance for help with any of my questions. Everyone on the Disboards is so helpful. I stayed at HRH before but it was many years ago and wanted the lasted info.

in the dresser drawer in the room is a game system.
the only lending library i am aware of is on the club level.

3)Do they have pool activities or other activities at hotel? How often is the Dive In movie and what movies have they shown before?
depending on the date you go, can determine that.
dive in movies generally are either on a friday or saturday night.
yes, pool activities are pool side. all 3 hotels have activities for kids at their pools.
you need to call in advance to find out which night is dive in movie night.
during low season, it is held only once a week generally.
they show family type of movies.

4)How far of a walk is it to get to City Walk? Would it be feasible to go to Pastamore for breakfast or is it just better to eat at hotel?

you are less than 4 minutes to the studio side from hrh.
you would be about 8 minutes from pastamore from the hotel

you can get a cheap quick breakfast at pastamore. go to the side window and order, take the food to a table.
if you eat at the Kitchen at hrh, it is $16.95 for the breakfast buffet.
you can menu order but it's not cheap like it is at pastamore.

5)Are there refrigerators in the room?
there is a mini fridge where you can buy items such as snacks, drinks.
if you want a fridge in your room, you need to let them know and there is a nightly cost for it.
there is no charge for a fridge if there is a medical reason or have an infant on formula.

6)How bad is an obstructed view room? Is there a certain room number or location to request for this category of room?

an obstructed room blocks your view out the window.
you will not have any clear view when you look out.
you'll see a palm tree probably.

as trees and greenery grow, room views can be blocked.
you need to book an obstructed view in advance. if any are available, then you can book it. you won't know the room number until you check in.
they do not tell you in advance which room it is.
people come and go and it might not be known when you check in which room is open for you if you booked an obstructed view room.

no, hrh does not participate in the Loews program.
i would not believe what you were told on the ability of receiving a free upgrade on a blue level.

there are no upgrades at the hotel.
i was there last fall, and i am platinum level on loews.

if hrh wants to give you a free upgrade, that is up to the person checking you in. it has nothing to do with the loews program.
you will not earn any stay credits for loews at this hotel.

call loews if you have questions about that.
they are the ones that handle the program.

all 3 hotels work together in some ways.
you can pool hop there at any of the hotels.

i have stayed at HRH for 19 times.
This year i will be at one of the other 2 on site hotels.

I was also wondering if there was anywhere to get a bagel to go for breakfast? I see that Pastamore only has croissants. How about Starbucks in the HRH or can you get just a takeout bagel at the Kitchen?

You can get a bagel downstairs just before you head out to the pool. There is a coffee shop there as well as smaller food items and ice cream.
