Hard Rock Hotel Question

My guess is that no one is going to change the OP mind on not staying at HRH and that is their right.

One of the biggest advantages of HRH is the size. Small that is, as compared to PBH and especially RPR. You can get anywhere in the HRH in five minutes or less including elevator ride and that is an advantage. I take the opposite opinion that the other two hotels are too large in size and too crowded with people and bad things would more likely happen there. Bad things, whatever they are, can happen anywhere.

We have visited PBH many times and had trouble even finding the lobby and the walk to the parks under the bridge is a hike. RPR is too spread out IMHO. Just my 2 cents.

The Hard Rock Cafe plays the music louder at weekends. If you go mid-week it's usually at lot quieter.

The hotel is owned by Lowes which is on Universals land. The Hard Rock owns the gift shop and also supplied it with the memorabilia.

Having stayed at the hotel with an 18 month old, who has since been back to the HRH twice, I can say the Hard Rock Hotel is very family friendly and a very relaxing resort. In the mornings the pool music usually doesn't start till 11am and can be very peaceful before then. There are also certain areas away from speakers that are more sedate throughout the day.

Inside the hotel all music gets turned down at 9pm. This includes any live bands/Velvet sessions in the lobby which can be loud, but isn't that the reason we go to the HARD ROCK for anyway? Can anyone name anywhere in Orlando that isn't noisy?!

If I wanted peace and quite 24/7 I'd probably have gone for a Caribbean island!

Actually, I wasn't looking for anyone to persuade me one way or the other...just information.

In Review...
It appears some individuals are not aware that Hard Rock Cafe and Hard Rock Hotel were owned earlier on by the same company. One of the cafe concept owners came up with the hotel concept...thus this can be a source of perceiving the HRH as having very loud music..if you have never visited a hotel, but only a cafe. The near identical logos can also falsely support this distant perception.

Thanks Everyone...
Anyway, in all of this discusiion and information on the board we had our own discussion and came to realize the underlying issue was not the music but the theme. HRH looks great but we discovered as we were able to peel away (drop) concerns that we unknowingly desired an international theme. Love music and actually freelance video and digtal still photography of musical acts, but when it comes to vacation I discovered we felt more comfortable with Portofino Bay. Another example to support resorts offering different themed hotels.

I will drop in on the HRH when we are there to see what it is all about and how it feels in person.

Thanks Everyone
