Hard rock hotel / closest food store/walmart

Arriving on 4/23-4/27 to the Hard Rock. We are having a car service pick us up at the hotel. I would like to know if there is a food store or a walmart on the way from the Orlando airport to the Hard Rock. I would like to pick some "snacks" & drinks for the room. After reading several of the postings I thing it would be a good idea. We will not be renting a car until we are leaving the Hard rock & going to Clearwater for a few days. Is there anything in walking distance from the Hard Rock? Any info would be appreciated. thanks

Welcome aboard.
There is a Publix with a Walgreens next to it just north of the park. I don't know if the limo drivers will go there as the free stop, but they might if you ask. They usually go to the Walgreens directly across from the parking garage. If they don't then I'd ask a valet at the HRH to take you to the Publix for a tip. And if all else fails, hire a cab to take you there and back.

You can walk to the Walgreens across Kirkman road, but for Publix, you need a car. And the Walmart is far to the north and most say not to go there.

What's wrong with the Walgreens across from the parking garage and the one next to Publix?

There is a Walmart on Sand Lake Drive just before intersate 4 (if you are heading towards Universal from the airport.) We took Sand Lake Drive (Rt 482) all the way from the airport. The SuperWalmart was VERY busy and difficult to get in and out of.

The Walgreens across from the parking garage doesn't have beer from what I've been told.
If you want beer, you need to visit the Publix. The Walgreens next to the Publix has a liquor store. So you hit two birds with one stone as they say.
