Hard Rock all access membership...worth it?

Thinking of getting a Hard Rock all access membership for our upcoming trip to Universal in a few weeks. We are booked at the Hard Rock Hotel in a standard obstructed view room. What would our chances be of getting an upgrade and what would that upgrade consist of?

i have had the all access card for years now.

when you first sign up, hopefully there will be a promo going on you can latch on to.


i love the program.
i show my all access card at HRC each time i am there.

i use it a lot for the pins purchases.


since you have never used the card, not sure if you will get a free upgrade the first time you use it.
it all depends on the occupancy at the hotel when you check in.


when i joined, i paid $5 more than the usual fee but received the HRC backpack with it. you'll get a gift card when you sign up. mine was for $20.
don't know what the promos are now as once i bought the membership, i don't look at current promos for new members.

you will get points on your card for the charges you make.
once you hit $200 point, your card will reflect that amount and automatically add credit to it that you can use at HRC.


i buy a lot of stuff on the HRC website.
too much stuff.....

I decided to sign up again recently (I used to have the free membership years ago) since we are staying at the HRH. It cost $25 but comes with the $20 gift card, a pin and a Hard Rock bag. I know we plan to eat at the HRC and my boys will probably find some t-shirts from the store. I figured it was worth what amounts to $5 for a possibilty of an upgrade plus it gets you next available seating at the HRC.
