The Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando® is host to "Harbor Nights" - a wine tasting and jazz event designed to capture the ambiance of the Mediterranean.

Featuring more than a dozen wines, gourmet food samples, homemade gelato live jazz, and complimentary hand-rolled cigars, "Harbor Nights" takes place under the twinkling lights of the hotel's Harbor Piazza.

Tickets are $30 per person, with free self parking or $5 valet parking.

We were there last year. We did not pay the $30.00, that is if you wish to sample wine, food and cigars. If remember correctly they had a cheese table, an antipasti table, a wine table....there was nothing you could make a meal out of. It is more like wine and appetizers. The music/entertainment is for all to enjoy. We sat outside by the Gelato Parlor, had a cappucino and gelato and enjoyed the evening after dinner. It's a nice way to end the evening. There is an area in which is set up for the people that bought tickets for the event...bistro tables and chairs and small table stations for the food, wine and cigars outside in front of Sal's Market Deli.

They charge everyone if you want to try the food/wine. I don't know if it has changed from last year, but I personally did not think it was worth it.

Thanks for the insight. I think we will be returning from Tchoup Chop while this is in full swing. I wonder if you can hear the music from our west wing balcony? While we are at TC I was thinking about getting the kids pizza and sending them to the dive-in movies. Do you know anything about that? I've heard that sometimes it is at the villa pool and others at the beach pool? Is it always on Friday?

I don't know if it's on Fridays....I read that it is Saturday nights starting at dusk. Maybe they changed it for that weekend

The Villa pool and the beach pool are steps from one another, so it will be easy to find.

You should be able to hear the music from your balcony. We usually watch for a bit as each song is a little "play". The music show is for all to enjoy!

The Harbor Nights sounds like something my husband and I would really enjoy. Too bad we won't be there the end of April. Does anyone know if they do this any other time of the year? We'll be there the first week in August.

they changed the website - they're advertising this april date only....last year, they advertised that it was held during 3 or 4 months on certain nights. may was one of the months so i was hoping to go during my may 06 stay. i'm also curious to know if anyone has any new info on this.

Last time we stayed here it was going on. I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. We didnt pay the $30 and I didnt even know they were charging? Maybe this is new. This is off the website.

But then I remembered reading that it was going to be in May 06, cause we would be there again so I tried to find out if it was still. It seems they changed it to April from May. Could be wrong and maybe they are doing it both months but I doubt it. I found this on All Ears and the dates are different.
