We are trying to decide which hotel to book and have narrowed it down to Best Western Park Place, Park Vue, and the Camelot Inn.

Anyone have any pros or cons for any of these? We are only seeing about $150 difference between the 3 of them.

Those were my top three as well, and they all seemed pretty equal in terms of value. Best Western and Park Vue offer breakfast, if that is important to you, and I think Park Vue offers free parking. I ended up booking at Best Western, as it turns out there is a convention going on the week we are there (next March) and Park Vue appears sold out, while Camelot already hiked its prices to $340 per night. I was able to get Best Western for $250, so I jumped on it.

Have you checked Desert Inn? It's not fancy, but it's clean, and usually the least expensive of those.

Camelot is currently under renovation, supposed to be finished by fall. I don't know if that's relative to your dates. My pick would be Park Vue, followed by BWPPI, then Camelot, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay at any of them.

I have not stayed at Park Vue, but we like BWPPI a lot. The location just cannot be beat!

This has been my debate for three of the four trips I’ve planned. My issue has always been BWPPI, Park Vue or the Tropicana. If you scour these boards like I have done, you’ll see that all get high marks.

So far, we’ve stayed at HoJos- great place but too far of a walk back at night for my tired Mimi feet and to be honest, too nice of a pool area. It was so great that my grandson, who was 4 when we were there, was far more interested in the pool than Disney. That’s a depressing feeling when you’ve flown across the country

Anyway, we stayed at the Park Vue for our last trip and I just last week made the decision to go back after initially making reservations at both BWPPI and the Tropicana. In the end, it was familiarity that convinced me. The rooms are nothing fancy and the pool (obviously somewhat of a priority) is in the middle of their parking lot. However, it has lots of landscaping around it and was a relaxing place to spend our afternoons during our last trip. The staff was excellent and above all else, it was gloriously close at the end of the night.

So that said, if the pool is a consideration at all for you, I’d go for the Park Vue. Otherwise, my experience with other tips from the experts on this board says that you should confidently pick any of them (as well as Desert Inn as avalon451 recommends) and stop stressing about this particular part of the trip (if you’re like me).

You hit on another important point for me! I actually did not want a hotel with a fancy pool. We are only going to be there for a few days, and I want to spend our time in the parks or recharging with a nap. We have plenty of fancy pools right here in hometown, so avoiding that particular draw for my preschooler was actually a plus in Best Western’s favor, lol.

I've stayed at Camelot Inn a couple of times and had good experiences. I can say the same for Desert Inn & Suites, Tropicana, and Castle Inn (though this one was a little further than we typically like to walk).

I would like to give Park Vue a try since it's so close and people on here rave about it, but it's always been around $30 more a night than the cheaper alternatives that I just mentioned, so I book elsewhere. When you're there for Disney and the hotel rooms are all pretty much the same, it's hard to justify going with something more expensive. We typically bring our own food for breakfast, so the nice breakfast they have wouldn't mean much to me.

Of course, you need to factor parking into your nightly rate as well, for those hotels that charge for it. For me, I would choose the cheaper of the three options.

Glad to know this. We are going in December, but I do feel like renovations always go longer than originally stated.

I have this one on my list as well. I think it’s definitely gonna be between them and I’ll probably make my fiancé choose as I hate decisions lol

We just stayed at Desert Inn for 4 nights, checked out Monday. It was good, I have no complaints. We didn't eat the breakfast though. I was thankful for Panera down the street and mobile ordering.

Parking is a bit tight but the night we arrived there were no spots. They valeted my car for me in the garage. Location and price were right.

I would (and always do) stay at one of your first two choices because they are the closest to the entrance to DLR.

Thanks for all the tips! We decided Best Western is what we are gonna do. Now just need to start the long countdown until December lol
