Happy Turkey Day to those serving in the Military (early)

I'd like to wish all those serving in the military a HAPPY THANKSGIVING. And a special {{{{HUG}}}} to those who can't go home for the holidays.

And a {{{{HUG}}}} to the families of those who can't come home!

Thank you for all you do!! God bless and keep you all!!

Our DS will having Thanksgiving dinner courtesy of Uncle Sam...now, I wonder what that taste like???

P.S. If you know anyone in the Upstate SC who doesn't have a place to go I am still having trouble figuring out how to scale back so there will be plenty on our table!

Tigger-here is just a suggestion about what to do with your over full table-and a way to honor your son-do you live near a base? Within reasonable driving distance? If you do, call the Family services and offer to have a couple of single service people to dinner-it will make both you and them feel better.

Unfortunately, we are not near a base but I did put out an open invitation at our Marine recruiting office. I have a feeling my full table problem will soon be solved!!

Very nice indeed. As a wife of someone who has served their country for 18 years I know full well the sacrifices made. In the 16 years I have been married to DH we have made many sacrifices during the holidays, this year although I am sad we can not be with our extended family we are at least together as a family.

Tiggerkeeper, you sound like you have a kind heart and I hope you get some service members to share your meal. I know there have been ocassions when DH was away that a family has taken him in and it really does make a difference.

Defense web page below and sign a brief message
thanking the men and women of the U.S. military
services for defending our freedom. The compiled
list of names will be sent out to our soldiers at
the end of the month. So far, there are only
about 1.3 million names, in a nation of billions. What
a shame.

Thanks for the link! I did it. I am so very lucky this year! My brother (Marines) and BIL (Army) are going to be home!!!!! We are leaving this afternoon.

God Bless our Military while they are away from their families in this holiday season.
