January 8th

Today was a free day which meant SHOPPING! Left the apartment about 10am and headed for the new, ultra glossy Mall at Millenia. I had seen photos so was expecting a wow factor. Yes it had a wow factor.. the price tag :guilty: As much as I like Gucci handbags, That may be stretching the holiday budget just a little. We noseyed around for about an hour without buying anything until Lyndsay went to Bloomindales and bought a handbag in the style of their famous Little Bown bag Very kitsch, very cute. I thought about staying for lunch at the Cheesecake factory but then I remembered Race Rock! We had eaten there 3 years ago and had loved the food and the decor. So we headed down I-Drive to Race Rock. There was only 2 tables full when we got there but it took maybe 15 minutes to seat us. Maybe a staff shortage that day? We were seated eventually and the boys get engrossed watching the crash clips on tv. Why is destruction so mesmerising? Menu looks good and we all decide to order 2 courses in a fit of madness. Oh bring it all out together, we say. Can you see where this is going? The server could barley fit it all on the table!! I had a bean soup followed by a taco pizza. Soup was great and thick enough to be a meal on its own, taco pizza I could live without. Salad does not belong on a pizza base ever :guilty: . Lyndsay had an exploded onion. This onion had expanded to the size of a dinner plate and broken into its sectionsso you could just break a bit off. Never seen anything like it and too much to eat. Can't remember what else was ordered but no complaints from anyone and the bill came in at under $50 which is incredible for 4 adults and 3 kids. Please go and try for yourself!

Back to the shopping and to Premium Outlets, a trusted favourite. I spent about $200 in an hour on clothes, trainers, Disney merchandise and fudge. Now I was a very happy bunny :cheer2: After much walking around and window shopping it was time to go cool down at home. The kids headed to the pool with james while I chilled out, let Charlie nap, and watched TV. Lovely.

Tonight was another babysitter night and we headed for Citywalk. The place was fairly busy and agin they were filming Fear Factor which was up on big screens for all to see. Unfortunately it was an episode where they eat bugs and eyeballs so I tried not to look. Latin Quarter had a short line so we headed in and paid admission. i told the girl on the register that I wanted Party[passes and she assured me the bracelet I got was it. More on this later. Well, its a very cool place with salsa music and nice ambience, but not a really kicking kind of place. Headed outside and spotted a food window so bought the best taco I have ever had. can't explain it really but it was in a soft tortilla and the meat was fantastic. So worth the money. The boys split nachos and we were good to go. The big dance club had a long line so we walked down to margheritaville and lined up. I went to walk in and was stopped. aparently i had bought admission just for Latin Quarter. You know, I had a funny feeling... well, we weren't going to pay agin so we had margheritas from the bar on the side and sat out in the beach chairs and listened to the music from there.. just as nice in a way. Had a look around and walked along to the shops which were still open. James fell in love with a $50 long sleeved t-shirt but I didn't get the fuss. Why ask me honey if you don't want to know my opinion? :confused3 Time for home maybe. Alex had a few too many and etertained us on the long walk back to the car. he is such a great drunk.. gets witty, talkative and bursts into song. Very funny and likeable. The party went on a little longer when we got home but I think we made it to bed about 1am.

C u in the morning,

Salad does not belong on a pizza base ever
