Ok, here goes with part 11 of a trip I took back in january with no notes to help me :sad2: Lets see how it goes, and please humour me if i backtrack around a little.

I know we had a late start today as i wanted to stay for the 7pm showing of fantasmic. Now if a park opens at 9, a late start to me is walking through the gate around 10. Imagine my anxiety when we arrived around 10:30! Well, we just wouldn't see everything i guess :rotfl2: Organisation is key now so off we march to get FP for TOT. Usually you would then ride Rock n Roller while waiting for FP time. Not today people as we had arrived late and a good DISer knows that a 30 minute line is just unacceptable. lets go see Indy instead. this is not one of my favourites but I knew my party would so I opted to hold Charlie, knowing it would be no great loss if i had to leave to pacify him. The first 20 minutes were great with him flirting with a female 1 year old in the bleacher behind him. Then like all classic males, the roving eye got the better of him and he wanted to go for a wander. Bye Indy!!. I dutifully waited outside and took in the sights around me while Charlie carried on his waving practice.

When the party was reunited I went against my DIS instinct and decided we should do Star Tours. Why is this against DIS instinct, you ask? Well my good friends, after an Indy show, you are not the only people who are going to head to the closest attraction ie. next door to the exit. You and maybe 1000 others are ready for a ride after sitting on your butt for 30 minutes. Today though i wanted to ride anything. i was frustrated about arriving late and frustrated that Indy was first on the agenda. Lets GO! We secured the babyswap FP and in I went. The sign outside posted a 10 minute wait. Well, i think it was closer to 30 by the time we got to the dock. Dean and Cara loved every second and were more than ready to ride again with Daddy. I made sure that james and Alex got a good look in tatuine Traders on the way out as I had read in another report about a lightsaber under the counter, that i could actually buy from a supplier in the uk and wanted to know if it lived up to all the hype. Lets just say that later that month for james' birthday, a Luke Skywalker lightsaber came in the mail, and is now proudle displayed in my living room :love2: It was about 11:45 when done so we headed over to Echo lake for a stroll and cigarette break as our PS was at 12:15 for 50's Prime Time.

I had really gone back and forth about making a PS for here. The menu looked great but I was worried about how some members of our party might take the interactive parts of the experience...I needn't have worried :sad2: Our server was lacking in this department. the table behind us were clearly veterans, reminding her to tell them off about elbows on the table and such, but we never really got anything apart from being asked to lay the table. Maybe it was because we had 3 young kids, maybe she was shy and new, who knows? The food was excellent though and the pot roast just fell apart on the fork. We all split the biggest dessert off the viewfinder and it was gorgeous. Charlie really got into this one.

We rolled out of here and felt that maybe now was not the time to go for a 13 story drop, so I took the kids to playhouse disney. I had hoped my kids would stay babies for longer and Cara's first word was actually Bear. We only made it through Winnie the Pooh...They wanted a bathroom break right now...ok off we go...lets go back in kids... can we go and do something else mom?...alright then..aah they grow up too fast (lets just say that if i could meet Bear my dreams would come true!) How about the Little Mermaid then? Ok, a unanimous yes! The line wasn't too long and we probably just missed the show before. Charlie once again wanted to explore. Have you ever noticed how much more stressed you can get about your kids than other people seem to? I know people were watching Charlie thinking how cute he was, but all i could see was Charlie getting a new record for people bumping. Holding him is pointless because he knows that he is capable of moving around and daddy is pretending we are not with him. AAAhhh! :Pinkbounc Rant over. Suprisingly, charlie loved the Little Mermaid and was very taken with the luminous puppets and lasers. Once again, i had to refrain from singing along and swimming off with prince Eric.

Parade time now. I think this parade is the one with something for everyone. it has classics like Star Wars and Mary Poppins along with great newbies like Mike and Sully/ Lilo and Stitch. Yeah, I got to see bear again! Right now for the highl;ight of the day...TOT and RnR. Cara had wanted to ride this from the first time she saw the Disney planning DVD a year ago. She knew she was tall enough and so far had proved her Simba like qualities "Danger? Ha ha I laugh in the face of danger" Off she went with Alex and Lyndsay. Well she loved it like you knew she would. Me and james next with our little daredevil again. She actually laughed on the drop and asked if I was ok :rotfl2: What a star!

Round to RnR which was great as always but boy, do i not wanna see those limos shoot off before I board. I can feel my tummy go before I even board. Just about time to meet Jo Jo and Goliath now. We waited in quite ahot sun for 10 minutes but boy was it worth it. I got a big hug with Goliath and Jo Jo cuddled me and...oh yeah the kids liked them too :rotfl2: james snuck off while I was waiting and bought me a JOJo and Goliath which now sit on top of my wardrobe. See, he loves me too!

Back down Sunset Boulevard for Beauty and the beast. the boys decided to sit this one out so Cara came with me and Lyndsay. What a great show and yes I cried at belle in her ballgown. I promise I didn't sing at all...well maybe a little. Finally, we come to the highlight of the day and the longest wait in all of WDW..the hour before Fantasmic! We got great seats halfway up in the middle section and settled in for the wait. We took turns getting snacks, smoking breaks, and general chatting. I knew it was likely to get chilly on a january evening so had took the precaution of bringing sweaters for everybody and a special warmer for Charlie, a Chip costume with a hood that had a nose on it and a little tail at the back. I know I'm biased but he looked the cutest ever ( I had picked this up in Disneyland Paris in August on my birthday trip). Well all of a sudden people and turning and cooing and making a wonderful fuss of Charlie. What does he do? Waves to his adoring public of course :goodvibes One lady even asked if she could take a picture of him. I have ot admit, i may have gone for a walk with Charlie at this point just to show him off some more. It was a feeling of love and pride that made me want to burst.

Right enough about us and on with the show. the kids were prepared for this and knew that Mickey and his magic would save the day so they relaxed and enjoyed everything. I love everything about this show too. The water screens( which seemed toned down since 3 years ago and new footage too, cool), the way Mickey can magic from top to bottom, Malificent in all her forms, the wonderful floats, the music, the lasers...I could go on forever. I always well up because it brings it home that i am right in the middle of all that is Disney magic, with all my favourite characters before me and its having the exact same effect on all those i love all around. Sorry if that seems a bit soppy, but to me the magic is so real.

Home time again but we were all so happy, united in what we had seen, with happy memories of the day. What would tomorrow bring? More MK time with the family Magic Tour. Goodnight from the uk and see you soon,

Claire xx

Lovely report Claire. I love RnR, not a fan of ToT though. :)

What a report :sunny: Didn't want any of my troop to grow up with their dressing up "Bear in the Big Blue House" :goodvibes
