Ok I have spent hours researching the cheapest way for us to get from airport to hotel etc. I am now thinking the way for us to go is to get a limo (van service) from the airport to Dolphin and then rent the minivan from Dolphin for the trip (to take us to and from parks 8 people wheelchair etc). Has anyone used Happy Limo? It has good reviews on Mousesavers. I priced it out and it is cheaper than renting the minivan for the whole trip. The problem with 2 cars is no one else wants to drive to the parks..only DH.

We used Happy Limo last time. We were very happy with the service. We brought our own car seat, because we had heard horror stories about limo service seats, but there's was nicer then ours.

The driver was very courteous and prompt, bith coming and leaving.

cheapest way would probably be the bus.

We used Happy Limo.....satisfied. Problem was we couldn't find our driver waiting for us because he was outside IN the car waiting for an illegally parked vehicle to get out of his designated spot! But, worked out okay--called the 800 number on my ressie (luckily, i carry all that with me) and they said "he IS there, he's just outside"..after i guess they "walkie-talkied" him. but, was able to pay for service on credit card (something I couldn't do w/ Tiffany) and we will be calling them for this year's service! (hoping to reserve the Hummerzine!!! :woohoo: ) Use Happy...you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the info. We can't use the ME becasue we are in the Dolphin. The other bus service will not work with DS who is a special needs child and will not be happy waiting etc. We have decided on Happy Limo to and from the airport and we are renting a minivan from the Dolphin to use to go to an dfrom the parks. It is going to be some $ but it will make the trip so much easier and more enjoyable for us and DS. Is there going to be a problem that we dont arrive to Orlando until 12:00 midnight????? There will be no one at the Happy Limo ressies desk but hopefully they wil still pick us up. I have emailed but have received no response as of yet.

shouldn't be a problem...when you reserve, they take your airline info and keep watch on your flight (arriving ontime, late, etc.....) they should be there waiting for you and at midnight--a lot less crowded i would think! there isn't a "desk" to go to...your driver should be waiting for you at the bottom of the escalator with a sign w/ your name on it. i would call if you don't receive an email soon.

We LOVED happy limo. I just called yesterday to make our ressies for Aug. and got the hummer limo at a good discount. They are a good company and nice people. The last time we arrived very late and just checked into the airport hotel and had happy limo pick us up there and take us to all star movies. Well I left one of my suit cases at the airport hotel and didnt realize it intill later that day. I called happy limo thinking I left it in the car and it wasnt so they went back to the hotel for us and got my suitcase and brang it to all stars hotel wilth no extra cost. They were friendly and helpful.

Can anyone please post the web site of Happy Limo? I am interested to check it out. Thanks!

I am very curious as DD would DIE if the Hummer was there for us. It may be a nice Christmas surprise. Would it fit 7 people????

we haved used happy limo various times over the years and will continue to use them again. very very pleased with their service

Just got my fax confirmation in and I paid $247.00 one way. It is expensive but I am surprising my family. It seats 20 adults. It even has a dance floor. with teenagers it will be a great surprise. Also on the fax it says it is for 2 hours?? I am going from the airport to all star movies. and I got a reg. limo for the way back to the airport and it has 45 min. So I am guessing that the hummer is for a longer time???? Hope so It will give the kids more time to dance

congrats on your rate!! any place special to find a discount like that?? a couple of years ago, we hired a regular limo to take us from mco to ASMovies....it was 35 minutes. maybe they cut down their speed in the hummer and that's why it takes longer? :confused3 i know the ride was 35 minutes, but it seemed like 10! oh well....end result is the same!! i know we could definately do the hummer with a discount like you got! ;)

I just called happy limo to reserve and told them that I wanted the hummer for the way to the hotel and a reg limo for the way back. They told me there was a special going on right now :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: So the hummer came out to be 247.00 total and the limo is 97.00 total. It is a great price and i CANT WAIT to see the look on my kids faces when the hummerize pulls up to take us in style to the ALL STAR MOVIES. What a great way to start off the vacation. and wow since there is only 6 of us and it seats 20 i think we will have PLENTY of room to DANCE

thanks....i'll give it a try! :thumbsup2

I just called Happy Limo and got a quote for the Hummerzine.....it was $12 more than what the website quoted. I asked about any other discounts or specials and she said "we don't have any at this time". :sad1: I still have a few months..... I guess we'll wait and try back another time before booking it....oh well..... :confused3

We've only used their town cars, but I love it. Both times we used them, the drivers were helpful, courteous, professional, and chatted if we wanted to and were quiet if we were silent or exhausted. :) For just 2 of us, it's not the cheapest way to go, but A - we like it much better than the buses (We had an *awful* experience with Mears a couple of years ago and we normally fly Southwest so we don't qualify for ME) and B - it is so nice to arrive after what can be a rough day of travel to someone pleasant who will throw your bags in the trunk and get you where you're going. I budget for this little luxury and plan to do so for every trip.

Fun moment? Last year, we were sitting outside Pop (I always get out early... it's the Yankee in me, lol) waiting for the town car, looking at this huuuuge shiny black limo parked in the driveway. After a few minutes, the limo driver came over and asked if we were waiting for Happy Limo. I said yes and he said "Well, we ran out of cars for today, so you get an upgrade." DD's eyes flew WIDE open. It was kind of hilarious watching other people as we got in and out of this stretch limo in our shorts and tshirts, but DD just had a ball during the whole drive. :)

Just so you are aware, passengers of ANY airline (including SW) who are guests at Disney resorts may use ME. The only difference between participating and non-participating airlines occurs on the return trip. Passengers of participating airlines can actually check in for their flights at the resort, while those flying on other airlines must wait to check in at MCO.

You're right. Sorry for any confusion. I meant that we would not be able to take advantage of the "whole" ME experience, so to speak, and misspoke above. What we'd miss out on isn't a big deal overall and I wouldn't let that one baggage transfer keep me from the bus, but it's more than just that that colors our decision. Personal thing, no biggie. :)

Okay, so before I called I put in a quote request thru Limos.com. Well, today in my inbox was a quote for the Hummerzine....thru Happy Limo! :cool1: I somehow got a discount of $37 and my total to rent it is $250! :yay: Maybe that is the way to go! Going to reserve it later today!!! :cool1: Thought Limos.com might be able to help someone else...(I know Happy Limo is one of the few Orlando places with the Hummerzine, so my quote request was easy to narrow down....ANY number of "limo companies" could have come back....so, if you're thinking Hummerzine, try this)
