DS had paid in advance to be picked up at PC today and I reconfirmed for him. They never showed up today and I called them only to be told they were told yesterday by Disney that no ships would be there. Many people are left there expecting to be picked up and now are having to scramble for rides back to MCO. I did remind them yesterday of my son's res. NEVER DEPEND ON HAPPY LIMO..

I have always used Happy Limo so am extremely shocked that you are stranded....in their defense it has been a very unusual week and perhaps they really didn't know the ship was in.....not much help though if you have to catch an early flight.....good luck to everyone! :(

Happy Limo picked us up at PC on 8/28 to take us to Universal (we were staying there for 3 days after the cruise before flying home) and then they were going to pick us up at Universal and take us to MCO that Monday the 30th.

The town car that picked us up at PC wreaked of smoke, the passenger side seat was broken so it was stuck in a reclined position, and the air conditioning didn't work so most of the ride on the Beeline we had the windows down while traveling at 80 miles an hour. Very noisy and uncomfortable.

I did complain and they offered to send a stretch limo for our trip to MCO. Although the ride to MCO was very pleasant I probably will look for another car service next time. It was our first experience with HL and more than likely our last

We have used happy so many times and never a problem. there has been so much confusion this week about where the ship would be today. many people told by disney to go to port everglades and many people told to sit tight and wait. watching the boards this week i know there has been alot of frustration due to the uncertainty and the reality of needing to make travel plans. happy should have made previous arrangements to contact the customer once they had docked to confirm cancellation. they have several office staff and altho you confirmed, someone probably made a last minute phone call to disney to get the "official" word and got incorrect information. They are less than an hour drive from PC and I am surprised they didn't offer to come even though they would have been late. sorry for your experience.

How awful! Did they take the DCL bus back?

I wonder if the Budget Rental car shuttles showed up. We are suppose to use budget for our cruse next week.

Of course with Ivan on the way, who knows what will happen.

FWIW, I will never use Happy Limo again, either.

I wasn't aware when I made my reservation that I would be using an independent driver who just got the reservation through Happy Limo. We weren't happy with our driver at all. He gave me the creeps-- and he didn't have an appropriate car seat even though we had requested it when we made the ressie. On top of that, he insisted on a cash payment "since he's an independent driver" when we had limited cash with us. To top it all off, I called Rabbit and requested a different driver on the return trip to the airport, and guess what? The same driver shows up wanting to know why we had a problem with him!?? Hello!!

When I got back home I received a form email from Rabbit inquiring as to whether we were happy with Happy Limo. I responded with all of the afore mentioned problems-- and received no response at ALL from Rabbit.

Not my definition of great (or even passable) customer service. I recommend everyone avoid them like the plague.

Oh MY! This is terrible! Thank you SO much for posting your experience. This is not the kind of situation DH or I would be comfortable dealing with at all!

We are trying Budget Rental car this time, but I think if we ever want to just book a ride will will go with a DCL bus.

Thanks again!

I'll never use Happy Limo either. They were a half hour late which wouldn't have been so bad but our plane was already a half hour early. This left us sitting in front of the airport for an hour with two small hungry children.

I called them when I landed to let them know we were early and they said the driver would be there in a moment, he was on he way into the airport (not true). If I wasn't just standing there waiting I would have gotten the kids something to eat. I didn't want them to eat the snacks I had for them because we were going right to lunch at the resort after checking in.

It was not the best way to begin. I'm going back to FL tours.

Isn't that the way all of the town car services work- the drivers own their own cars, and just contract from the town car companies?

We were actually considering using this service next year when we get back from our cruise. Guess we will go with the rental car instead!!!!

Based on recommendations on disboards we have booked Happy Limo for our Oct 2 Disney Cruise. Now I am worried about the quality and service. Should I change? There are 7 of us - 4 adults and 3 children for a stretch limo. Any suggestions? Has anyone had any problems with Happy Limo before the hurricane problems recently? Please let us know.
Thanks,
Adelle

I would not recommend Happy Limo under any circumstances. DS used them last year with no problem but as I said today they left him and friend with tons of luggage stranded this morning. Their attitude was they will issue a refund or you can wait an hour and we will send someone. I feel they run a business based on providing a service that is time oriented. I would expect them to check flight arrival times as well as confirming time ships were due in at PC today. They did not apologize. I feel they are not reliable and will not give them a good recommendation. They are not the only limo service available. There were others that weren't picked up also and all had the same problems.

Well....You all just scared the "you know what" out of me so I just cancelled my reservations with HL and called Florida Tours and booked with them. :earseek:

We used Happy Limo for our Halloween 01 cruise and were extremely happy. BUT, for our Christmas '03 cruise, we were very disappointed and will not use them again. We had multiple transfers because we flew to MCO and we did WDW first then the cruise and then 2 nights at HRH at Universal. Plus, our son had a separate reservation to bring him to WL from MCO because he had to arrive after we did due to final exams.

The reservation process was difficult and, because of the multiple transfers, getting confirmation on each leg from the office was challenging. But, I wrote that off to the many legs involved and choosing different modes of transportation depending on how many of us were traveling (and how much lugguge). The in-office staff were not particularly "customer-focused" or friendly.

In our memory, the only legs in which the driver arrived within 30 minutes of our reserved time were for our son's pick-up (thank heavens) and for our final transfer back to MCO and home. On arrival to Orlando, we waited 40 minutes for the driver.

I recognize that everyone has different perceptions of service but there was definitely a negative trend in our trip and I'm not willing to go there again. Next time, we will book with Florida Tours.............they have a great reputation, they support the DIS boards and, even Pete personally endorsed them (which I have rarely seen).

I didn't realize this. If that's true, then how could there possibly be a difference between any of the various companies?

Now I am confused!

We had seen so many good things about HL that we decided to cancel our Disney transfers that the TA included and go with them. But now I am thinking we will have to cancel. Anyone have any suggestions as to where we should go?

We used Happy Limo in 2003. Our trip from MCO to Resort was not a good experience. The trip from resort back to MCO was excellent.

When we first landed at MCO, we went down to baggage claim, got our luggage, but did not see our driver. We called the # given to us, but there was no answer. I thought perhaps they were out to lunch. I tried calling a few minutes later - still no answer. We go out to the area where other limos are waiting. Our driver is no where to be found. We waited a while, then a kind porter telephoned someone somewhere and told us our driver would be there shortly. We waited another 10 mins or so and he arrived. Not too friendly, but not rude. The booster seat was pretty flimsy.

The trip from resort to MCO went smoothly. We had a different driver who was most professional and courteous. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We've been pricing towncars one way from resort to port and these are my findings so far:

Quick Silver $130
Fl Tours - $120 (no reply to email when I asked a question)
Tiffany Town Car $105
Murray - no reply to email
Southern Elegance $100 (replied quickly and professionally)

And the winner is: Southern Elegance

I realize it could be hit or miss depending on your driver, but I have heard lots of good things about Southern Elegance. :)

I'm confused. Is the refference to Rabbit in an earlier post the same Rabbit at ********. We used ******** two years for a three leg transfer in a van with eleven of us and couldn't have been happier.

I had heard good things about Happy Limo when I posted to these boards a few months back. I decided to book with them based upon what I had heard. We leave thursday, prayerfully they will show up on time and I will come back with a good report. I am debating on checking out other companies again. We need to go from MCO to WDW to PC. We purchased the Disney transfers on the return from PC.
