Happy Limo and discount

Has anyone used Happy Limo before? What is your experience?

It expires on June 30th, 2002. ( But I am going in October!!) The rate is $80 round trip to non-Magic Kingdom resort. So, with the coupon, it will be $70 round trip.

Also, it will provide 15 minutes free grocery shopping service. That is 15 minutes shorter than other companies.

We use Happy Limo a lot and have always had a great experience. As a matter of fact, I just made the reservations the other day for our trip coming up at the end of the month! We take a Disney cruise almost every month, so we use them a lot, and the service has always been really good. We've never used the grocery stop, but the driver usually asks us whether we want it just to make sure.

Hi atigeg,
Just wondering of you tip Happy Limo in addition to the tip they already include in their price. We are scheduled to use them in May, and I know they included a tip in our total; however, I don't want to seem cheap not handing the driver a tip. On the other hand, why should I have to tip twice. I'd love to hear other thoughts on this.

are you sure the price of Happy Limo includes gratuity already? I have just checked its website. It said gratuity is NOT included....

I am ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE (I'm not shouting at you) - as of yesterday, their site still showed that they add in the mandatory gratuity - honest! Others on this site went and looked and also saw it. I wonder if they (Happy Limo) changed it after reading people's negative comments about it. I'll go check their site again myself, but my paperwork from them DOES include the gratuity.

I copied/pasted this for you to see - it's from Happy Limo'a FAQ section. I wasn't aware that they were charging us up front for gratuity until someone brought it to my attention (I didn't bother to read any fine print or the FAQ until after the fact):

"The fares quoted at this web site do not include tips. On Town Car trips which do not involve out of town transfers, a mandatory gratuity of $20.00 will be added and split equally among the drivers. A gratuity of 20% will be added to all Town Car trips which involve out of town transfers. We will add a 20% gratuity to all the trips involving stretch limousine transfers. "

yes they have included it in on our rate every time we have used them. I would recommend them all the way!

I think gratuity is fine as long as I receive good service from the company. However, if the service I receive does not worth $20 from me, can I refuse it?

We have always gotten great service so we have even tipped a little extra, even when it was already included. But I am not a shy person, and if a gratuity was included but I felt it wasn't deserved, I would make my thoughts know (if you pay by charge card, you can dispute the charge if they insist). Thankfully, Happy Limo has always been great and the drivers have always deserved their tip. I have a coupon for them on my website that I think doesn't expire until the end of the year. We are using them in two weeks so I'll know for sure about the gratuity question & post when I get back.
