Happy Inauguration Day to you too! Yep, one can only hope the next four years will be better. I think it will.

What a wonderful day indeed. I´m pretty sure the next 4 years can only be better than the last ;)

Yes, it's a historic and joyful day. I believe the next four years will be better than the last eight.

The sky is gray, it's snowing outside, the temps are frigid....

Yet, it's the brightest day I've seen in a long time! :goodvibes

it is a beautiful day!!! i am so happy and proud!!!
Didn't Obama look awesome coming out of Blair House? What a wonderful smile!! :wave2:

Today was one of a handful of times that I have sat in front of the TV crying......John Kennedy Jr. plane crash, nine eleven were others.....just watching Obama, :) its an amazing day.

It's been a long wait for me to get to today. I'm excited!!!!:cheer2: :cool1:

I haven't been on the political thread lately because some people can be fairly negative about the whole thing.

This is a day for Celebration and healing for our Country!!!!!! It's about time to have inspiration in the White House so we can go out and be of service to our country in our own communities.

It's a beautiful day!!! Now let's get this party started!!! pixiedust:  :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: party: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Enjoy your day of celebration. You have earned it.

:)

My first grader and I were talking before the bus came today. She saw the Today Show talking about Obama's innauguration and she said, "Today he get's to be president, mommy." I smiled and said yes.

Then she asked me if I knew about "the guy we celebrated about yesterday." I played along and asked her to tell me.

"A guy named Martin. His last name was King, but he wasn't an actual King. Did you know, mommy, that a long time ago Black people couldn't eat in the same restaurant as white people could. It was very sad. We read a book and the end was sad. Somebody killed him because they didn't like him, I think. And that is sad." She was so cute as she gave me this little history lesson. I was so proud of her. I told her that Martin Luther King made God very happy. That God wanted us all to love each other no matter what we looked like. She looked up at me and said,

" I think Marting and God would be happy today."

I started crying then....
