Happy Hour!!

It's like $20 in advance, $25 day of. They do have stuff for designated drivers and whatnot.

the beer fest is in november . for 25 dollars you can drink all the beer you want for most of the day. you get to try over 125 kinds of different beers i went what fun!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Just got back from an awesome drive up, will write a TR soon.
At IOA Saturday March 29th to renew my AP. Went into the
Backwater Bar, located near the front of the park near Suess Landing. Asked the bar tender about specials on mixed drinks.
The deal is $2 to make it a double all the time. I asked if this was the case at all the bars in the park and she said yes.
Happy hour at Backwater is 3-6pm, beer, wine, and Sangrea is half off.
Happy hour at Alchemy bar (next to Deuling Dragons) is 3-5pm.
Two people in front of me we're getting draft beers. Price was about $5.50 for a large plastic cup.
So beer would be a good idea during happy hour, but then I'd switch to the Long Islands, cause it's not fun being on Deuling Drangons and having to go.

Here's a link to the beer fest's website. It has last years info but it should give you an idea of what to expect for next year.

Does anyone know is Finnegans is offering 1/2 price wings again? I was at US last weekend but forgot to check it up.

(Also, this is plot to move this subject up)

I was hoping to get a happy hour margarita to go at Margaritaville, but was told that we'd have to go inside for that. We still enjoyed our full-priced drink, however. Actually, we enjoyed them a couple of times...

Anyone check out the happy hour wings at Finnegan's? I'll be there this weekend and hopefully will remember to check it out.

Has anyone ever had a beer or cocktail at every UO drinking establishment in the same day? I'll be staying at PBH in July, and plan on doing just that. I'll start at US, (skipping IOA) then make my way to CitiWalk. Any drinking strategies you'd care to share? Favorite appetizers, etc?

LOL, that's great. There's alot of establishments to visit if you include City Walk. At USF there's Finnegans (across from the Mummy Coaster), and the bar next to La Bamba (just past the Makeup Show). Plus Lombard's Landing in the back of the park.

I show 8 restaurants and 5 night clubs at City Walk. Hard Rock is counted twice.
Start in USF, because happy hour only runs from 3-5, whereas at the city walk places, it runs until 7pm.

Don't forget happy hour starts at 2 at Alcatraz if you want to start earlier. It's a small outside place on the water. Nice place to "rest" if the weather is good.

Well I'm up for it! We'll be staying at PBH May 22 through 25. Dh and I have already signed up for 'Drinks around the World' at Epcot on the first day of our upcoming trip (check out my counter! :Pinkbounc ).

**Hic!**

We were at IOA this past (very hot) weekend. I forgot that the "Watering Hole" near JP has happy hour from 2-4. That brew sure tasted good after suffering through 95deg heat. I was so glad I didn't have to wait until 3!

Thanks UA!
That 1 hour can make a huge difference!
Jim

Yeah, UA, you da man. Now we've got our buzzride tour down to a science. Watering hole next to JPRA at 2pm, ride JPRA, hit watering hole again, then hit the Alchemy bar next to Deuling dragons at 3pm, ride, drink, hit the Backwater bar next to Confisco's, go on Marvel rides, leave park and do the happy hour at City Walk (5pm - 7pm). 5 hours of happy hour, wow.

"buzzride" - I Love it. No - you da man. I hope you can make it to CityWalk after all that happy hour.

While MsDis was working on a hydrodynamic problem i asked the bartender at NASCAR and yes they are pints.

we will have to ask Finnegan's about the wings:smooth:

I went this saturday (crowds weren't bad at all at US for Memorial Day Weekend) and brought back a Nascar cup home to measure. They are only 14oz for $2. That's still a good deal though. At nascar its about $0.14 per oz and in the park (with refill cup, not happy hour) its about $0.21 per oz.
