Happy Hour!!

I found an unused, still valid coupon for a free draft beer or glass of wine with a Finnegan's entree if anyone wants it. It can only be used after 4p, though (as per the coupon).

Any votes for making this post "important"? With over 2600 views I think people might be fairly interested. I hate to see it get buried in the forum and have newbies miss out on happy hour.

I am so excited I came across this thread as my BF and I can drink with the best of them! (Most recent marathon: the Arundel Wharf in Kennebunkport, ME -- total bar bill for 4 people: $204 + tips! Good times with friends -- priceless!)

Does Universal only carry Anheiser-Busch products? Just curios, as BF is avid Coors Lite drinker. But I'm sure he'll settle for Bud Lite if he has to ;)

Where can you buy the refillable mugs? Are they in the parks or CW?

Thanks, this thread made my day!

P.S. I am not an alcoholic...I am not an alcoholic...I am not an alco...

I'm glad you like the forum.

Sorry, I'm not sure where you can get coors. Bud/Bud light is available all over the place. I'm not a light beer drinker so I'm don't really pay attention to the light beer options.

However, Finnigans has a very good selection. Beers, on tap, that you would expect at an Irish pub. Also, the Back Water Bar has Amber Bock (one of my Busch favorites), and Fosters. Enchanted Oak and LaBamba has a decent selection too. I think La Bamba has Killians.

Oh - I'm getting thirsty and it's only 8:42 am!!!

I think this is discussed in this forum somewhere but I know you can get them at the little beer booths throughout the park. Ironically, I don't think you can get the mugs where there is happy hour. Alcatraz and Watering hole *may* sell them. City Walk doesn't sell or honor the refillable mugs:(

Yes. They have a strong partnership with Anheiser-Busch, which allows some interesting combination tickets and whatnot.

Okay, could someone please sum this up for me. My husband and I only drink on special occasions and vacations, so we are not beer drinkers at all. Could someone explain which establishments serve mixed drinks during happy hour and what the drinks are. By the way, I caught the margarita at Margaritaville. Any more???? :)

Sorry, NO HAPPY HOUR FOR YOU!!!
The parks only have happy hour on beer and wine. You can get (full price) frozen drinks at a few places like LaBamba, Backwater, Watering Hole, and Alcatraz.

City Walk might have happy hour on frozen drinks - Can someone else reply?

I explained it on page 5 of this thread. Mixed drinks are not part of happy hour, but for $2, you can make it a double.
Happy hour drinks are beer, wine, and sangrea, you get them for a reduced price. The times vary, scroll back a page where we talk about the "buzz ride" tour.

In your case, visit a bar, order your favorite drink, and make it a double for $2.

The $2 double is all day.

I asked if that was the case at all the bars, and the girl said yes.

I am not a drinker. but I am curious. what kind of drinks can you double. can you double mixed drinks or just strait liquors. Inquiring mind would like to know.

Thanks for all the helpful info. I'll be enjoying a cold beverage (or 2) at some of the CityWalk establishments next week. (Staying at PBH). I'll let you know how it goes, if I can remember anything.

Summer Update: July 31 2003
IOA: Happy Hour
Watering Hole (next to JPRA) and Alchemy bar (next to Deuling Dragons) 4-8pm
Backwater bar (next to Suess landing) 4-9:45pm
$4 Specialtiy drinks (3 frozen types)
1/2 off beer, wine, sangria
$2 to make a single shot drink a double, is good all the time.

In front of each bar is a big red banner with the summer hours. I asked the girl at Backwater how they can do happy hour until 9:45pm, and she said it's the summer hours. I assume that will run for two more weeks or so, until kids go back to school.

City Walk
Nascar Cafe. No Happy hour, prices are the same all the time.
Domestic drafts (Bud, Bud light, Miller, Miller light, a few others) $2.50
Import drafts (Heinekin, Killians, a couple others) $3.50

I tested to be sure. A bud draft at Nascar was exactly $2.50, a bud draft at Backwater was $2.38. Nascar is kinda noisy because they have a bunch of arcade games.

Margartivalle Happy Hour.
12:30pm to 04:59pm
2 for 1 house margaritas
2 for 1 Miller light draft
2 for 1 well drinks

Sea World Florida
No Happy Hour at the new Water Front area.
Bud drafts are $3.75 at the bar under the sky tower.
A Bud draft purchased inside the brick oven restaurant was $4.49.
