I went to the event and a friend of mine made a purchase at the auction, a framed picture for several hundred dollars. He waited patiently for his purchase to arrive, since we all were told that the shipping was running slow (3 weeks+). However he did not receive HIS auction item, instead he received an auction item belonging to another person, after 3 weeks, so he called Event Services and was told that there was a shipping mix up by DISNEY Event Services shipping (who shipped through DSL/Airborne Express), and that several of the high end auction items had been shipped to the WRONG PEOPLE. My friend in Illinois finally heard from the person who had received the item in Conn., which was a third party, who then shipped it back to him- or so she thought. Meanwhile my friend had also contacted the person who's item he had received- and promptly shipped it to him- or so he thought. Both of the items were shipped back to Conn. for some reason. The person in Conn. then shipped them to their respective owners. However, when my friend finally received his auction item, it had a huge sticker on it which said INSPECTED BY DSL. Unfortunately, the framed picture was not well packed, (only a sheet of bubble wrap to protect it inside the crate) and the "inspector" at DSL had apparently opened the crate with a crowbar- shattering the glass in the frame (inside the crate) and ruining the piece beyond repair. My friend then tried calling Event Services to resolve the problem. He called several times one week and was told the person in charge was on vacation, and then he tried again the next week, and was told she was not accepting or returning any calls. Meanwhile FED-EX came to his house asking for a package- but did not even know what they were there to pick up. My friend never recieved a phone call to let him know the person in charge was even aware of the problem or to let him know FED-EX was coming, and so he did not release anything to them. He is at the moment still trying to get it all resolved.
