Happy Haunted 5k Trail Run

What would be the best way to get BACK to my resort after the race if I'm not staying at a Host resort? I will be taking a taxi to the race, but since I don't know when I'll be done and what not, would I just call a taxi? Should I basically bus-hop to get back to my resort (awfully time consuming:() I am super excited for the race, but the transportation getting to and from is stressing me out!:confused3

Wow... I think I actually have a good amount of information to add to this thread! (Usually all the DISers beat me to it!)

What I posted earlier was wrong, though kind of a bummer... I'd love to run into the back of MGM. (I'm still boycotting the name HWS.)

Here's the course map, with water locations and mile markers shown.:

...and here's the Finisher's Medal:

Also, here's the handout brochure for the 5k / kids runs, and here's the booklet for the TOT 10 Miler Weekend. There's also a handout for the 10 miler, which I won't post here, as it's a bit off topic...

Does anyone know what the t-shirts are supposed to look like? (Also--are they dry-fit?)

Hope that helps, everyone...

The tee shirt usually has the design of the medallion on it. It is not dry fit, it is a standard cotton tee.

Me and my wife will be running this race, staying in all star sports, also I booked though the special phone number to book from which was way cheaper than my fl discount or pass holder discount, and it came with free mini golf and some merchandise vouchers

will they release which characters will be along the course or do they like to let it be a surprise?

I think I saw you were staying at Pop? Ask at the guest services desk at Pop for when the buses start running back and forth to WWoS. They won't be running at race time but buses do run on a regular schedule back and forth all day long. We stayed at Pop for the Expedition Everest Challenge and were able to take the bus over and back to the Expo to pick up our race packets, shirts, etc.

I'm staying at AoA and will walk across the bridge on Friday to hop a bus from Pop to WWoS to pick up my packet for the HH5K and will also be returning the same way post race after I spend some more time at Saturday's Expo.

I'm running in a Goofy-inspired costume :goofy: and then will convert it to Zombie Goofy for the Villain's Bash. For MNSSHP, DH and I are going as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (my daughter scored an Oswald ear hat for me from a gamers' convention!!) and his girlfriend, Ortensia. So excited for the race and this trip. pixiedust:

Okay, that makes me feel better!!

I'll be dressed as Queen of Hearts!

I haven't seen them release a list of characters for a 5K before. In fact when they released a list of characters for the Princess this year was the first time I've seen it at all.

This will be my first Disney race and I'm super excited. I'm dressing up as the Cheshire Cat. I hadn't planned on it until my Mom sent me the link to this thread. I will be running alone as this is my first Disney trip without my Es. We are coming back down the 16th so I can surprise them with the Halloween party!! My husband is super jealous because he was supposed to do the 5k on our cruise but was injured. I have a feeling we will be making plans to come down and compete in a race together.
