Just registered for this! I'm nervous, but also very excited to run my first 5K.
Okay, just saw a pic of the medal posted on facebook and SO want to do this race! I did the Princess in February and loved it! Only problem is, the 29th is our check out day - would we be finished the race and back to the hotel in time for ME (we have a 2 pm flight to Canada)? Also, how complicated will it be to get to and from the race from CSR, which is not a host resort? I know the traffic to and from the Princess was crazy!

I'll be staying at Pop if that makes any difference. I was thinking no later then 6:00 AM, but should I plan on leaving even earlier?
Can you switch for the last night to whichever mod is a host?
Time wise, you will be done by 8 at the very latest. The traffic is not nearly as bad as for the Princess. There will be probably around 5000 runners (the Marathon weekend 5k was record breaking at 8000) versus the 20000 plus spectators for the Princess.
My wife and I will also be doing this 5k.
It's the first "real" 5K that we've ever done. I'm training for it indoors on a treadmill right now (I'm about halfway ready.) I'm training at about a 15 minute mile pace (actually, a bit faster than that), and as I get closer to the date, I'm going to start training outdoors as well. (It's too hot in Dallas right now--it has been getting up to 105 degrees recently.)
My question is: has the map been released yet? Can anyone shed any light on how uphill the course may be?
Thanks for your help!
Just go to where the DME bus stop is and there's a CM there that will call a taxi over that's waiting in the parking lot.Can someone tell me how the taxi's at Disney work? I'll be staying at Pop so I'll need to take a taxi to get to and from the race right? Do you have to call in advance to line one up or are they there waiting for people like in Vegas? Sorry if this is a silly question- I've only taken a taxi in vegas before!

Do people dress up cute for this run or just the bigger runs?
