Ok, happy dance time    I did it, I got off the phone and we are now booked:

Nov 16 to Nov 25 at Pop
Nov 30 to Dec 6 at POR
Dec 6 to Dec 14 at CBR

And the kids think we're staying off site AND that we're going home on December 7.

I'm a bad mommy for lying to them, but they are going to be sooooo excited!
Oh who am I kidding, I am so excited!

A mth at Disney wow...I am green with envy.
How do you get your kids out of school that long?

Sounds like an amazing trip and WOW 3 great resorts as well.

We homeschool, so there is no taking them out of school, thank heavens!

We are so blessed to be taking such a great vacation....and it's like it was meant to be...everything is falling into place just perfect. I've been hesitating about making reservations until we were sure about some other things.....then I read today someone else was told POR was all full that week, and I panic.....but kids are here so I can't call right now. Then DH comes home and decides to take them with him to a club meeting because it's "swap meet" night....so the house was empty. So I call hoping I can get POR because that's the big one they really oggled in the books....and not only did we get it, we got a AAA discount too! AAA discount on all three resorts!

Of course, I'm still hoping for a better discount coming along later this month....AAA, AP, Disney VISA, email code (the one I got is only through September, so please please send me another and I promise to use it).

They're going to be home in about 30 minutes and I really have to get this big grin off my face.......they'll never guess WHAT, but they'll know something is up!

No offense-but I'd be bored spending a month at WDW :confused3

That makes sense...on the homeschool front.

I would like the opportunity to try to get bored at WDW for a month...:rotfl2:
Of course I don't think my Bank Account will ever let me.:scared:

Congratulations...I am sure it will be amazing

Well then I guess its good the OP is going and not you! I could do a month at Disney, in fact, I'd probably still be sad to leave!

What a wonderful opportunity for you and your family, so glad it all worked out. And I also must ask, what happens from November 25-30th? Are you going someplace outside WDW during that time?

Although I don't think our family would be suited to a month of Disney.. I would be even less likely to bring down someone elses thread because of that fact.
Op.. I wish you a wonderful and magical trip. I spilled the beans the day I started planning.. I have no idea how some of you are able to keep it a secret. I envy your restraint!:goodvibes
Please come back and tell us how they react!!:)

I can only imagine what it would be like to spend a month in Disneyworld! What a wonderful trip! I'm like the other poster (BelleBeast) and want to know where you're staying from Nov. 26-30. Also, please tell us a little about what your plans are, for instance are you doing anything outside of Disney? I hope you have a great trip!

Whoa! Nearly a month at WDW? And one person mentioned bored? I am always sad to leave, this trip would be heaven!

Where are you staying Nov 25 - 30?

We're going to spend 25-27 with Grandma near Tampa for the Thanksgiving Holiday and then we won tickets to a dinner theatre in Ft Myers (we won free airline tickets too, that's how we're getting to Florida).

Keeps us out of Disney during the mad crush of the holiday.

As for being bored.....wow, can't imagine ever being bored at Disney.

Loverly....then I guess we won't invite you to join us, :rotfl2: The CM who made our room ressies was almost as excited as I was.....I invited her to come visit (since she'll know how to find us) and she joked that she just might. She made a bunch of wonderful suggestions of things to do....I didn't have the heart to tell her that I already had those things on my list because of DIS, lol. Carriage ride (another surprise), GF tea (already have ADR), MVMCP (definitely going once early in the trip, might go a second time if it's truly wonderful), and Candlelight Processional....have three ADRs to see different speakers! She also kept going on about the swimming pools, including the new one at CBR, but it'll depend on the weather for that time of year I suppose.

Well, we do have a few non-Disney things planned....gee, is that even allowed to be mentioned on this board, lol.

We're going to Medieval Times (as homeschoolers we get a totally awesome rate). We're studying this time in history and while I know it's not exactly a historical/educational event, it's a good excuse, and helped us choose between it and the other similiar events available.

As I mentioned, dinner theatre in Ft Myers. And Grandma and the family for Thanksgiving.

We have a few other little day trips planned that will put a bit of education into our trip.....it's an occupational hazard, everywhere we go we find something new and exciting to learn. Museums, science center, things like that...we have a couple planned already and now that I've taken the plunge and booked the rooms, I guess I can start concentrating on finding more. Any of you locals have any suggestions?

Since you will be in Fort Myers anyway, I highly recommend the Edison/Ford Winter Estate. And Sarasota has the Ringling Museum. Have a wonderful time!

Well, it's not a complete secret...they know we're going, but they think we're staying for 3 weeks not a month, that we're staying off site, and that we're going to CP for speakers they've never heard of (because they think we'll be gone home a week before Monica Coleman of High School Musical is there).

I would never be able to keep the trip itself a secret. Besides, they're having too much fun planning what they want to do. I'd never deprive them of that joy....I just want to surprise them a few times with extras they didn't know they'd be getting.

Wow! Can I be your kid for a month?!? Hope it is super fun and relaxing with all that time to enjoy the parks! I can't imagine leaving to go to grandma's for a week and then heading back a week later! I always have to wait a year in between trips, lol! :rotfl:

Sure, the more the merrier.....I always wished I'd had more kids, maybe adopting adult children would be a good thing, no diapers, no tantrums......

Well, you live half the distance to WDW as we do, so I figure if we're going to go clear across the country for something we're going to stay there until we're all done seeing it.

A month in Disney!! I'm so jealous!!

Thats what I was thinking!!! The only downer for me would be laundry:lmao:

My kids have actually said they want to live at Pop:rotfl: . If it were only that easy:goodvibes I wish you a magical vacation, and I can't wait to see pictures of it!
