OMG! What a blast from the past -- it must have been played for quite a long time, or we sang it in school perhaps? I was only 5 but dang, i know the words and was singing along!!!

AND .. while we're on the topic of old cheesy, patriotic songs, please tell me I wasn't the only Ontarian who immediately sang THIS when the new (and now retired!!) license plates were unveiled? This was from the Ontario pavilion at EXPO '67 and i remember singing it in choir

My mom for many years, every time she does her meal prayer, at the end says and Thank God We're Canadian. I used to think it sounded weird for her to say that, but now older and wiser, I do realize how lucky we are to have been born here. Especially during these times.
