Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!

Woohoo!!!! It's my BD so I knew it was going to be a good day to call!!!! Just booked my very first DVC stay. Dec 13-16 in 2BR at OKW and Dec 16-19 in a 2BD lockoff at BCV!!!!!! About the only thing is I would have loved our home at VWL but it was spotty day selection. We may try a waitlist but I'm very excited to stay at the other locations so I might just skip that.

2 Days ago I invited my cousin and daughter to WDW - we would work around their schedule. My cousin came back and asked "How's Xmas time at Disney?" I said wonderful - let's try it!!!!!! We went last Dec. - almost the exact same days and I was sooooo wanting to go back again but really didn't think we had a chance.

After hearing about how tough Dec. was and about all the waitlists I had picked 7 different timeframes to go. The first would have been waitlisting 4 of the 6 nights (Dec. 6-11) but I could have had the 2nd choice (Nov. 29-Dec4) at Saratoga. Decided to check out choice 3 and could have had ressies at Saratoga, OKW or the split that I am doing!!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!! Also had a great CM to work with!

Oh - and it's using all my Dev. Pts. we got buying our AKV add on (mmmm....maybe I should do a waitlist there? That would be fun for my DGD) and then some of our banked -07 pts. Little nervous about waiting for the confirmation - but reports seem good on those working out ok.

Today was a lucky day for us also. We are new to DVC and we called the other day to try and get something for Christmas (12/23 to 12/28). The only thing available was SSR (our home resort, but not our first choice). We made the reservation and my husband called back today to see if there was anything else availabe. We ended up getting a Boardwalk View at the Boardwalk for 12/24 to 12/28. Soooo excited. We have always wanted to stay there and who would have thought we would be able to get it at Christmas time.

Congratulations!!!! The Boardwalk view is high on our list that we hope to try someday! I'm thrilled to get BCV and be able to walk to Epcot for so many of the holiday events.
