I think one of the most impressive things about this film is how visually stunning it still is 50 years later. There's never been another animated film that looks as exquisite as Sleeping Beauty.
As a side note, Sleeping Beauty was the final animated film drawn completely hand inked. Beginning with 101 Dalmatians, they were able to use xerox technology to help reduce costs in making an animated film.
(Then I glance at my avatar and board title again, doing a double take)
Gotcha!
Of course I'm happy about this!
I saw the Sleeping Beauty walk-through at Disneyland last month, and I was busy snapping pictures of everything! Loved it. Much nicer than when I saw it in 1996.

Yeah, it helps when they go back to the art design of the film instead of dolls. Plus, the original walkthrough is where they developed many of the effects later seen in POTC and Haunted Mansion.
My DD5 loves Sleeping Beauty. Actually, that's an understatement! In her mind there is THE princess - Sleeping Beauty - and all the other lesser princesses must bow down to Sleeping Beauty!
