The Matterhorn opened today in 1959. June 14, 1959. Matterhorn is still one of the best roller coasters! So detailed and beautiful. Happy 64th Birthday, Matterhorn!!

Happy Birthday, this ride is so nostalgic for me because of its vehicles. When I think of Disneyland Matterhon is for sure one of those rides that come to mind in a second

Happy Birthday!! Such an iconic part of Disneyland's history. I have so many memories associated with it. My favorite was riding it one night with my daughter, who was about 18, and we came out of the mountain just as the fireworks went off and it looked like a big heart. We looked at each other in awe and it truly was magical.
