I'm going to DL tomorrow. Mouse Planet is having a meet at Big Thunder Ranch but you need reservations for that. BUT...they are handing out Mini MouseAdventure packets at 2pm at Plaza Pavillion for anyone who wants to do it for the fun. I've done Mouse Adventure 3 times now. I'm definitely getting a packet tomorrow! I'll be able to go at my leisure unlike when you do the real thing and are running around DL like a crazy duck!

The ceremony was very short. The set up a microphone on the steps in front of the Train Station on Main Street and bunting on the top. They did block off as little of Town Square.

At 4:15 the Dapper Dans came and entertained for about 15 minutes. At 4:45 the Mayor plus Mickey and Minnie came out, followed by the Disneyland Band. The Mayor, M&M went up the steps to the podium while the band stayed on ground level. The Mayor did a few remarks and then the PA System played Walt doing the original dedication speech. They released some doves, and then the Band with the Mayor and M&M marched off. From the band's arrival to departure was about ten minutes.

We left Ventura at 5 a.m, to get there at opening yesterday. The CM's ad buttons, like the "I'm celebrating" buttons, that said "we are 54 today." I asked, no one would trade with me! lol!
The dedication ceremony was cute, I always choke up hearing Walt's speech. And my kids ran around all day shouting "Happy Birthday Disneyland!"
