Tomorrow is my 12 year anniversary with my DH. I have to fly out of town for work so we celebrated today
.
He got me a Giottos MT9360 tripod and ball head. I thought there was a learning curve going from a Canon Rebel to a 50D...boy was I wrong
. This one takes the cake!
Anyone out there have one of these that can give some pointers or quick tips on how to not look like I'm all thumbs while trying to set it up.
I'm so excited
. My other tripod wasn't strong enough to hold up my camera. This one holds up to 17lbs!

) as mine. i've been happy with it( had it maybe 18 months?) it is easy to use just normally, it's when I move the center column and use the panning head i have to head for the instructions. otherwise just make sure you turn the leg adjustment tight enough. sometimes i think they are tight and they aren't and the camera starts to sink which could be bad if i didn't keep my neck strap on when i use it. and make sure you unlock the legs at the top so you can spread them or close it( i did try to open/close it a few times without unlocking
,mine flip up, not sure if that is still the same as the latest)
