I'm trying to avoid losing a chunk of time of the MNSSHP to eat at CRT on our last night.

Our only other option is to keep our 9:40p.m. reservation on a non-party night. None of us have seen HEA yet. From all of the vids on youtube, the show looks to be under a 1/2 an hour - so if HEA is at 9, that would give us about twenty-ish minutes after the show to fight the crowd and get around to the back of the Castle and check in. Is there any reason to think that we WON'T be able to make it? Anything I'm not thinking about?

You can make it.
Yes, the fireworks show does only run about 20 minutes.

Even if you are a bit late, (which I doubt) you'll be fine.
Often the seating gets behind, anyway.

That's what I was thinking - thank you!

Like Robo said, you should be fine. I think HEA is like 18ish minutes. Only thing I might do is find a spot early enough for HEA so that you are close to the castle. If you are way back on main street you are going to be fighting a huge mass of people going the opposite direction from you.
