I got this last night and promptly started creating things with it. I only have the small cricut. How do you do the eyes and mouth they are so tiny they don't cut. I thought about getting some paints or markers to just fill in..

BTW I love this! now I have to go get the other princess cart ;)

I think you will have to paint them in for the smaller sizes. I've heard they are still a nightmare even with the larger size. I haven't opened my carts yet, so I can't give any first hand advice.

Can I ask what adhesives you are using for the tiny pieces? It's making me crazy!

the zig pen probably works the best for the small pieces.

Thats what I am using as well. it is the greatest thing since sliced bread in my opinion. I use it for so much stuff now and its great for paper piecing

Thanks for the fast answers. I knew there had to be an easier way. I won't even tell you what I've been trying to use! So, I'm off to Micheal's- to use my 50% off coupon and only buy a zig pen.

Yep, the zig pen is fantastic! If I am doing a character that has LOTS of the little pieces I also really love my little xyron X sticker maker. It comes it so handy too!

Enjoy your cart!

What I did for the small pieces was to put a white backing behind the face where the eyes go. Then I drew a dot for an eye, and then I put a dot of stickles(I used waterfall and frosted lace, I think). For the mouth I could usually get a cut, but I had to play with the blade depth and pressure a lot. Since I was using Bazzill, sometimes the paper would split into layers, so the top would be cut, but not all the way through, but I would just pull it off and glue it, so it was like thinner Bazzill.

Hope- Have you gotten any new carts since I last saw you? we will have to get together and play with our bugs again.

Another question - Do you all use a different colored "base" or just black? When I made my Cinderella i used a black back base and it looks odd to me

Sometimes I have used a gray base. But usually black... however... I have yet to make a cindy.

I just use black.

And do I have any new cartridges? :lmao:

Well, I bought Alphaliscious because I wanted another font. Then I got Happily Ever After during Ms Black Friday sale. Then CreativeXpress had the 4 carts @$27 each sale, so I got Celebrations, My World, Opposites Attract, and ZooBalloo. Then DH got me Dreams Come True for my birthday. So yeah, a few.:rotfl: And if someone has carts on sale in this week's ad, I will buy the Mickey font and will have gotten 2 carts in December so I can send away for the free one for the Cricut promotion.
