You officially suck! (And I mean that in the nicest possible way!) I'm not done packing yet!!!!!

I just found your pre tr this morning and loving it. I love the movie Cars so the title brought me here. I have a Croc fettish also. I can't wait to here about your trip. Take lots of pictures.

I've got the lots of pictures thing covered. I've got 2 cameras packed and am working on which one I'll take where.

Or maybe I'll just take both everywhere. :rotfl2:

You sound just like me. Just got a new dig camera just for our upcoming trip.:thumbsup2

So here we are, 5 days before our trip starts.

And I'm a mess.

The packing is done. Thank heavens.

I have 3 or 4 different lists going. Stuff we still need to pack. Stuff we need to buy so we can pack it. Stuff to do before we leave.

It doesn't help that my husband -- my partner in this adventure -- is constantly changing his mind. First, he was getting his haircut on Saturday. Like forever, that has been the plan. Day before we leave, the men get hair cuts. Then on Monday, he tells me he thinks they'll do it Thursday. Because there's nothing on TV on Thursday nights. And since he's getting his hair cut Thursday, he'll mow the lawn for the last time that night, too.

OK. Whatever. Not my hair. I don't mow. I just don't want us to get in trouble for not mowing while we're gone.

This morning -- Wednesday -- he tells me he thinks he'll get his hair cut tonight.

Seriously, dude. Pick a day and do it. It's about enough to make me grab my clippers and start shearing. He really doesn't want me to do that. Last time I tried to trim Tater, we had to go to a beauty shop and have them fix it. Brady hasn't let me near him with a clippers since.

So in addition to Dan's constantly changing schedule (and I know if he's driving me crazy now, Saturday is going to be a true trial because we'll have nothing left on our list to do and he'll want to leave early), I'm not feeling well. I'm about 90% sure it's allergies. I take Claritin daily for allergies, but when I was doing the whole contact thing, I stopped. Claritin really dries out my eyes, I couldn't wear contacts because my eyes were too dry, therefore, stop taking the Claritin, the eyes once again become moist and life is fine.

Except my nose feels like it's stuffed with cotton, yesterday I blew my nose more in 24 hours than I have in the past year, and I think every one of my co-workers had the opportunity to say "Bless You" because I sneezed so often during the day.

Honestly, if it wasn't the second to the last school day, I'd stay home. I'm cranky from not sleeping. I woke up with a killer headache at 4 am and have been up ever since.

But it's water day for Kindergarten. Firemen. Big truck. Bigger hose. Everyone soaking wet. If I don't go to work, I'll be called a wimp. Lame. Loser. Cuz what I really need right now is to get dripping wet. It's a big contest to see who can get the wettest.

So I'm back on the Claritin, hoping it kicks in by Sunday, so I can enjoy the trip. Going to try contacts today, too. Haven't worn them since Saturday. We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I'm going to try not to stress too much about the weather in FL next week, and about checking in for our flight, and about everything else that's niggling at me.

Cuz there's only 5 more days until we leave. Whether I'm ready or not.

Hello there, Miss Kim! I just spent some of my morning reading your wonderful Pre-TR. I find that we have a lot in common. First, I am a teacher too :teacher: , well technically not yet, but in Dec.(when I graduate) I will be, and I will be student teaching in a Kindergarten. I am also a scary neurotic organizer/planner which drives others around me completely insane! And of course, I just love WDW! Your plans look amazing and it seems like such a wonderful trip. 5 more days! :cheer2: How can you stand it? I got 22 days until we leave and I am going nuts! I wish you and your beautiful family a wonderful vacation and I cannot wait to read your trip report when you return! :goodvibes

Just remember to breathe! I know, I'm soooo much help!

You are so close!!:) I always get stressed right before I go on vacation too. Soon all of that will melt away and you will be at Disney!!:cool1: :cool1:

I hope you love teaching as much as I love it. I'm a bit sad to know that this is the last morning where the bell will ring and I'll go out in the hallway to give hugs and pats on the backs as kids go to their classrooms. It's all different with pre-K and I'll need to stay in my room instead of wandering the halls. I'll miss it.

I'm pretty much able to handle the whole "4 days till Disney" thing because my head is so much into the end of school that I can't see past it. Tomorrow, after I've turned in my keys and name tag for the year... that's when I'll be able to think about Disney.

Just remember to breathe! I know, I'm soooo much help!

You're both saying exactly what Dan keeps telling me! Thanks for the encouragement!

Woo and Hoo! I am done with school for the year. I practically threw my stuff at the secretary in my rush to leave today. OK, I didn't. I was all nice and everything. Then I didn't have the official check-out sheet (I never lose anything like that so I thought I didn't get one, but probably I did). So I took a sheet of paper and wrote "Kim can't find her paper but she did everything" signed my name and booked it right out of there.

OK, I said goodbye to a couple of friends. But I'll be seeing them this summer, so it wasn't really goodbye. One of them announced at our last staff meeting that I'm going to Disney this summer. Do you think maybe I bored her a bit with all the little details?

Yeah, probably.

So today is filled with getting my to-do list knocked down.

For today:

1. Finish creating layouts for a fund raiser. Done, 2 1/2 hours after I got home. Just working on uploading them and sending them to the coordinator.

2. Laundry. This will continue into tomorrow.

3. Fax room assigner at POR. I've never done this before, but it only cost me a buck to fax it and why not try? We're staying for 13 nights. Shouldn't I at least try to get the perfect room? I totally wrote "If you could accomodate these small requests, I'd be happier'n a tornado in a trailer park." And then :lmao: at myself for a good half hour. Done.

4. Pick up prescription. Done.

5. Go on a walk. Getting ready to do.

6. Feed kids dinner. Oh why? Can't they eat their toe jam or something?

Tomorrow's list:

1. Haircuts for the men folk.
2. Buy underwater camera(s) and allergy meds.
3. See Shrek 3 with the kiddos.
4. Sedate Dan. He is so excited. I know he'll want to leave for Kansas City tomorrow. And we're not going to do it. But he'll drive me crazy wanting to go.
5. Lay out clothes for Sunday.
6. Pack all extra clean undies in the house. Maybe I won't have to do laundry after all.

OK, probably my last post until we're back from our trip! Thanks to all who played along with me! I loved knowing that you were out there reading and following our planning journey! I intend to make this a magical trip, and have a lot of fun writing my trip report when we get back. So check back in 3 weeks or so. See ya on the Trip Report board!

I'm so jealous that you're out of school! My kids don't get out till June 13th! I understand about Dan getting excited and wanting to leave early. I almost did that too, but then realized I'd just end up sitting in a hotel waiting for my flight longer. Have a great time!:wizard:

Hello there (thunderhockeyfan here)! I am so excited for you all. I have been thinking of you a lot this week knowing how excited your family must be. It is funny because we are driving to KC tomorrow also but for us it is just to go to a Royals game and to the zoo up there. Wish we were getting on a plane also for Disney! I know you will have the magical trip you have been dreaming of. I can't wait to read all about it.

I was telling my dh about how lucky you were to be going for 13 nights and how I wished we could go for longer. Well we can't do 13 nights but we have increased our next trip to 9 nights!!! This way we can go to each park twice which is what I have been wanting to do. Now I just need three years to go by :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Have a great trip!!!

Oh my gosh. I finally had a minute to check in- checked your ticker, and I said outloud - wow - she's there!

Can't wait to read the trippie!!!

I hope you're having a blast! Can't wait to hear all about it:)

We are home! I am buried under piles of laundry, children who are cranky because there is no food in the house, extreme lack of sleep yesterday, and over 1500 photos to edit. I will get a trip report done in some form, but I'm thinking it may be mostly photos, with just a small amount of writing from me. The photos just tell it so much better than I could. And to do that, I need to wait until I get my Photopass CD because there's one set of photos that Photopass captured much better than I!

I will tell you this -- we had 3 pretty magical moments, and Tater and Dan got prizes from the Dream Team (that we couldn't use). So lots to share!

Hey BrerMomma, glad to hear you are home safely.

Can't wait to hear more. Go feed those kiddies, and try not to hate the back to reality phase of the vacation. I always have a hard time with that part. I just hate to cook for myself those first days back...

Yay! You're back home.:cool1: 1500 pictures might be enough.:rotfl: I can't wait to hear all about everything especially the magical moments.
