Hannah Montana Tour Dates

Holy Cow... I just found this on the website for the Boardwalk Hall...

Please note: section rows in the lower bowl (100 level) begin with double letters (AA-KK) followed by single letters. Seats in the upper bowl (200 level) begin with single letters (A, B, C, etc).

That totally rocks. I don't know how I got so lucky. My computer completely froze up at 10am when refreshing and I thought there was no way any tickets would be left. Someone must have thrown these tickets back into the mix.

Having said all that... I am really sorry for all of you who tried your hardest and weren't able to get the tickets you were looking for. Your kiddos are very lucky to have such cool parents who are willing to go through the stress and trouble.

Also, thanks to everyone for their tips! I could not have possibly gotten tickets w/o them!

At the places I have been that would mean row 27.

Is anyone familiar w/ the seating there? I'm looking at the chart and I see where section 120 is... (not too bad at all!) and we are in row AA. Does that mean 1st row of section 120 or do they go A-Z then start on AA (making us row 27) ?

Row AA is in the front of section 120. Per the Boardwalk Hall website, rows in the lower level go AA->KK then A->something. Their website also has a picture of the view from each section.

This is pretty typical of most theaters I have been in. Often triple letters (e.g. AAA) are in the orchestra pit if they've added seating there.

edit: I see you found the answer yourself!

That's awesome!! At the DD center near me, the seats are the same way.. they start with the double letters..
Congrats!!

Another RI concert goer here, section 104. I think DD Arena is fairly small, so that should be OK, although after seeing what's going on here and talking to friends in town, none of whom were able to get tickets, I'm feeing very, very fortunate just to have gotten them. To all of you who didn't get them, remember credit cards get denied, more tickets may get put back on -- keep trying and good luck!

Think that's steep, check what they are going for on eBay or StubHub.

Nope, i never would have paid ebay's prices.. it's a shame how many girls will miss this b/c of the brokers/ebay's high prices.. :sad2:

I am very very blessed to have these! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

They only charge what people are willing to pay. There have to be plenty of people out there nuts enough to spend that much. After the initial hysteria of the DOS sell-outs, prices will drop. Then depending on the supply out there they might go up again shortly before the show dates (or before Christmas). The exact situation will be tough to predict because this is not your normal concert market.

Right, but- parents wouldn't have to spend that much if the brokers/ebay sellers would LEAVE the tickets alone to begin with - so that the parents would have a chance to get them in the first place! That's what bothers me.. They come in -- scoop up tons of tix, then mark them up crazy prices, so that parents who want to make their kids dreams --pay the prices, when the scalpers (uh, "sellers") :rolleyes1 could have just left the tickets for the parents to get fair game... The kids are the ones getting hurt here.
I mean, i understand a markup, i am in retail, but come on... some of those prices are just crazy..

In my experience this does not always happen. The scalpers did not lower their prices for the Cheetah girls and atleast 10-20% of the seats were empty at the concert. It was rediculous. The scalpers don't really care. If they charge 5x face value then it does not matter that they do not sell all of them. It is such a shame to see these empty seats.

I was the only one who was successful getting tickets for my daughter to the Memphis show. None of our other friends came anywhere close, presale or public sale. As a result, my daughter has really been struggling with which 2 friends to take. She's even thrown out the idea that maybe we should just sale them because she feels so bad that some of her friends will be left out. Very sweet of her to consider her friends like that, but a pity that she even has to consider such a thing. Anyways, Thx in advance for any info on regional restrictions for Saturday's sale![/QUOTE]

What section? We got 107 in Memphis.

9 times out of 10, if you're willing to make the effort and can be patient, you can get tickets outside the venue for less than face. Often WELL less than face.

Here is a link to the news story that aired here last night. Apparently there is a software company in Ohio, who sold software that allowed it's user to "cut in line" on Ticketmaster's website during the ticket sales. I thought you all might think it was interesting.

McDaniel says he has become aware of allegations that at least one company has been selling a software product...
That doesn't sound particularly definitive.

This isn't new. Popular concerts have been selling out in minutes for years. Ever try to get Springsteen tickets? White Stripes tickets? Radiohead tickets?

The scalpers do this all the time. They hire a ton of people who are better at this than you are and they get a bunch of the tickets. Not all, but a bunch. Look how many are on eBay or StubHub. For the AC show, for example, there are about 270 - 275 tickets on those two sites right now, combined. That's out of at least 4,000 that were sold as part of the presale. I'm going to guess that 90% of the tickets sold went to regular folks like you and me.

Unfortunately the demand significantly outstrips the supply and lots of people are disappointed and the lunatics out there allow the professionals to make a tidy profit.

As much as I dislike a lot of things about ticketmaster: their market monopoly, all their nonsense junk fees, the fact that they refuse to let Joe Consumer do a decent ticket search (trust me their outlet locations are able to do a much more effective search than just best available), etc. I don't think all the anger and frustration over almost immediate sell outs should be focused on them.

Disclaimer: my info is practically from the dark ages since this was many years ago, so some things could have changed, but I kind of doubt it.
;)

I worked at a ticketmaster outlet for years and I guarantee the number of tickets available when the public sale opened varied widely depending on the promoter and the venue. They don't want to tell you that though because they want you to believe they are the one and only source for tickets.

Promoters hold back tickets for the performers family & friends, media giveaways, fan club pre-sales, etc.
While we never had access to those exact numbers officially, it was pretty obvious that some held back way more than others.

There are also deals allowing individual venues to hold back tickets. I know some routinely allowed a percentage of seats to be sold via advanced group sales. I would think they'd try to limit that for popular acts, but depending on how their program is set up, it could be an across the board thing. I'm guessing the big ticket brokers are aware of any and all venues that have those kinds of programs in place.

Also some concerts are held at locations where season ticket holders have access to their seats for anything held at that venue. DH's company has season tickets for ice hockey, so they have the same seats for the HM concert, since that's where it's being held.

So I guess I question the 90% of tickets available to regular folks number... unless you're counting regular folks who happen to have season tickets, get in on group sales, win radio contests, know someone with ticket connections, etc, etc.

.

Some of the cities who have already had the presale and general sale say:

Ticket Limit
There is a four (4) ticket limit for the presale period.
There is an eight (8) ticket limit for the public onsale.

Does anyone know if this will apply to all cities? I have 4 tix for Atlantic City and need one more.

Ticketmaster is now saying only 4 total per address no matter how purchased. I called and confirmed this for the Newark location. AC may be different but I do not think so.

You're correct. I should amend that to say 90% of available tickets. I'm also familiar with holdbacks (and how they sometimes work to your advantage when they sometimes become available for sale at the last minute). My point was that consumers and scalpers are pulling from the same pool, and that in spite of how it might appear, the vast majority of those tickets are going to "regular folks".

For those who did not get tickets it's good to keep in mind that more seats may become available. Cancelled orders, unused holdbacks, add'l seats when production details are finalized (e.g. size and location of stage, etc.) can pop up on TM at almost any time.

why isn't Phila.? showing up on the ticketmaster website? Am I missing something? Thanks!!
