Hannah Montana Rules the World! TONS OF PICS, UPDATE 11/1!

HI!! Just checking on all my threads.:surfweb: Did they get the postcard??My kids had a blast doing that.:goodvibes

So we are now down to 13 days!!!!!! :rockband: Here are the kids flashin' 13 fings and Bella's new bag. How psyched was she to see that when she go home from school! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

They had open house at school last night and I was talking to the principal and he asked if we went anywhere his summer. I told him we were going to Disney in 2 weeks and he TOTALLY encouraged it saying "there are no lines, not as hot, more fun, etc." AND asked me to show him pics when we get back! How cool is that? :cool1:

I spent the day with my Dad yesterday and finally talked about the trip with him. I've been nervous that he was going to bail on it, he apparently told my sister he was going to cancel. I just started talking about the belly dancer in Marrakesh and his eyes glazed over... :thumbsup2 I do his bookkeeping for him and since he wasn't giving me money to pay for his share I just wrote checks each week to cover it. He is nervous about leaving his restaurant in someone else's hand because the last time he did that (about 14 years ago) it was a disaster. My sis can't really help out since she's going to have her baby while we are gone but I am going to have spies :ssst: (HI CORY AND KATIE!) set up to go in and check on everything. We had a talk with the guy who will be running it yesterday and I think he can handle it well. He is also considering buying the place so it will be a good dry run for him.

We got our personalized Disney maps the other day and here are the kids enjoying them.

How cool are these things???!!! Bella already took one into her class for sharing.

Oh, can someone take my credit card away from me? :bitelip: :bitelip: :bitelip: I'm serious! I bought a camcorder yesterday. It was a good deal though!

Hiya - I have been seeing you around but never made it you your report. LOve the Hair!! Such a cool mom. I caved in & subscribed to TGM too & luckily my days are ok with him. My son LOVES Hannah Montanna. He is only 5 so its okay. I see that you stayed at POFQ last time - you said it was pretty - thats where we are stayiing in a few months - I hope we like it.

:welcome: POFQ was so pretty and we loved the pool. My ds loves Hannah too! The pink has slightly faded so it looks even better now she keeps telling me her friends want me to do their hair. Not so sure if the 'rents would like that though!

I agree, the sales are terrific this year. I did break down and buy myself a few little things. :teeth:

Don't I know it! I took my cc out of my purse yesteday but I still know WHERE it is

I love the personalized maps. Will keeps looking at ours but he doesn't know that he will soon be there! LOL :lmao:

We leave at noon today to start driving down. Hopefully we will be there tomorrow afternoon and I am so excited!

Thats great that the kids principal is ok with it. I don't think Will's teacher is because she won't send any homework with him. That's ok though the have a 3 day weekend the next week so he can get all caught up.

Hockey starts here the day we get back so its a great time of year! Go to Disney, come back and play hockey.:)

I'm glad your dad is going and I hope all goes well while you are gone. Have a great time (like you wouldn't!)

Beth

Don't I know it! I took my cc out of my purse yesteday but I still know WHERE it is

 That doesn't do much good then. ;) I am going to try and finally make it out to the character warehouse today. Work should be fairly mild so my plan is to zip over on my break. :thumbsup2 Wish my cc luck. :lmao:

We went to the mall last night and the disney store. Gosh its dangerous. I cant imagine walking through every day. We had to pick up a gift card for a birthday party this weekend.

Love the bag!!! And thats awesome about the principal. Kayla has open house monday and I was going to talk to the teacher again. I hope she can give kayla all her homework asignments. They definitly have more this year that before and I really dont want her that behind.

Still love the pink hair. Saw the directions but would be way to scared to do myself.

I know, I have read that you should put your cc in a glass of water and freeze it. Yeah, right. I'd throw that thing in the microwave so fast... Good luck to your cc!

Isn't that bag cute? I do usually try to stay inside the salon so I won't spend money but I'm actually pretty quiet today. Good luck getting Kayla the homework!

It's great that the principal was supportive of you taking Bella out for a trip. I don't get why it's such a HUGE deal!

When did you order your Disney maps? I feel like I ordered mine so, so long ago and I never got them.

The bag is adorable!

I think I ordered them about 10-14 days ago. Hopefully you'll get your soon! Bella took the bag to school and said everyone thought she was a celebrity :lmao: :cool2:

It's nice that the school is supportive in you taking your kids on vacation during the year, it definitely is better to go than during the summer. Unfortunately I don't have that pleasure anymore:scared: Oh well, Disney will still be fun even with the heat and lines!!

One comment though on this...

The reason it is such a huge deal is because when you are a teacher any time a student misses class whether it be for a day, or even worse an entire WEEK, there is a ton of catching up to do and with curriculum and state standards it is hard to backtrack and repeat missed information for the student who is out.
Hopefully Bella will get work in advance so that she can go over it with you and her teacher before you leave so that there isn't too much misunderstanding and so she can stay on track. It's also nearly impossible for a teacher to be able to provide everything for a student who is leaving, things happen everyday that change your plans for the day and week (too much experience in this!)

Luckily they won't be getting homework until Oct. but her teach said she'd give me some worksheets for her to do. I took her on a mother/daughter trip to London last Nov. and she wrote a journal everyday we were there that was fantastic. Her teacher couldn't believe how good it was and we even had the whole crew of both Virgin flights sign it (capt.'s inc.). FYI don't take a 6 year old to Westminster Abbey unless you want to hear echoing VERY loudly where or not there are dead people in every tomb  about 20 times over...

Haha, that's great. And nice she won't have homework. I guess it is also different when kids are young, becuase of a lack of homework and moving as quickly through lessons, and she also has a supportive mom who I'm sure will get her caught up if she does miss anything. I just get so annoyed at high school kids (since that is who I teach) who decide to tell you a day before they leave that they won't be there for 3 days! THANK YOU! Now I have to try and get the work and write down specific directios because you know they won't remember page #s, etc. Just blows my mind, some parents are great though and will let me know in advance so I can get things together for them to do. Plus I teach in a school where we have 90 minute classes so we do a lot of group activities which need some modifications for people who won't be in class. Ok, done ranting about irresponsible parents and crazy kids! ;)

Just a quick Hanna Montana moment...last night I was watching my 3 year old niece and as it was getting about that time to relax and prepare for bed, she came running into the kitchen where I was getting a drink saying "Hanna Montana is on, hurry!!" It was so cute and I had no idea she would even know who HM is, now of course she doens't get the whole concept of it but she sat and watched two episodes before bed and giggled the whole time, she kept saying "oh Jackson":rotfl:

i'm a little slow joining your report, but i thought i'd pop in and say hi from one bruins fan to another!

my bf plays goalie and i'm always scared to death of things happening to him. especially since around the goal guys can be careless. my boyfriend does not look like a typical hockey player, he's a lot smaller than most of the guys he plays against.

anyway, your kids are adorable and i really hope you guys are going to have a awesome time! :cool1:

:welcome: fellow Bruins fan! One of dh's best friends is a small player but man is he ever fast and scrappy! Thanks for reading!

So cute about "oh Jackson!!!!" :cutie: I totally understand what you are saying about not taking kids out in high school for vacations. I don't think I would do it past 6th grade, too much work by then.

Both kids have a toothtunes toothbrush, Bella's is Hannah Montana (duh) and Cooper has the Kiss one. She just showed me one of them laughing and saying Cooper's toothbrush is black so I looked at it and saw it was the HM one so she stopped laughing pretty quickly. I asked Cooper what he did and he said "I needed to clean the fireplace" :lmao: What? Does he think he's Cinderella or something??!!! princess:

On another note 10 days today!!!!!!!!!
