Our current plan is to drive down from Northern California sometime NYE and go to the parks starting January 1 since we have deluxe AP's. Any tips on places to hang out on NYE with kids outside the parks? I reserved dinner with Goofy at 7:30 and then thought the lego store maybe?? Is it worth going with 4 yr olds and an 8 yr old? Our other plan is to drive in early on the 1st but I'm worried about drunk drivers and having any fun myself after driving half the night.

The Lego Store at DTD has some really cool Lego creations of Disney characters to see. Plus, they have an eara out front where you can play with Legos and build whatever. It's fun.

The Lego store is awesome! Great photo ops & interactive. The Tinkerbell skating rink looks like fun, as is Build-a-Bear and Ridemakerz, but they all cost some $$. Whatever you choose to do, my vote will always be for more Disney time rather than a late/early drive! :-D
