I remember hearing that one new shop at DTD was a Create your T-shirt shop. I think it was by Hanes. Hanes T-Shirt shop has anyone heard of a shop caled this to open at DTD?

I can't remember what it's called, but it is located in the old scrapbooking section of the art store at the end of DTD. My DD created a shirt this past December and really had a good time. The shirts are pre-shrunk and of a decent weight, but the price is pretty high for what you get. It's more of a novelty stop. There were nicer shirts for a better price all over the parks, but she really wanted to create one all by herself. (She's 11.) She loves it, so it was Disney Dollars well spent! :thumbsup2

Thanks for letting me know, I will check it out when I'm down in May.

Just a word of warning--it's best to visit there early. We waited until about 7:30 one night and the wait for a shirt was 3 hours. They do ship for $9.95, you receive it in 5 to 10 business days, but it would have been a lot nicer to bring our shirt home with us.

It's called Design-A-Tee and is at the very east entrance to DTD. We did not have a good experience there however. I spent 20 minutes designing the perfect tee and went to the cash. They looked over my design but didn't ask any questions about the hyphenated surnames at the top. I was told to return in 2 hours to pick it up. They also took my cell number in case there was a problem. When I returned 2 hours later, I was told that they couldn't do the Tee since the name is copyrighted. It's the name of the school that that I work for.

I understand that they cannot do copyright names but when I asked the manage why the clerk didn't tell me when I placed the order, or call me on my cell when she figured it out, he just said he was sorry. He wouldn't even look me in the eye. I suggested employees should ask when they take the order about unusual names but he said that "maybe when we are not busy and we have time, we might do that.' It was very un-Disney like.

When I asked for a refund, he said I would have to complete the paperwork for the return. Return of what? I never got the t-shirt. That's just the way it is I was told. We have to show that you returned it to get your money back. I have emailed the DTD customer relations department.

That was the only downside to our trip and we got over it quickly. Sun was shining and we had a wonderful time.

WOW! I just got a parcel from Disney with the exact T-shirt I ordered that they wouldn't make on site!! I sent a message to the company with a copy of my receipt and was told that it didn't contradict their license agreement and they made me the shirt, shipped it and included a lovely Disney Pin for free.

The Tinkerbell Pin says "Where Dreams Come True" So right!!!
