My hands usually go up on this ride. I ride the rides for the experience of riding the ride. If a picture is important to someone, perhaps they could request to ride up front.

My general opinion is that I don't like my view blocked by other guests.
(And, it can ruin an otherwise good "ride photo," for sure.)
That said, my opinion has no bearing on what other guests will do.

I have to agree. I don't worry about ride photo's, have never bought one of them anyway, but, honestly, I don't understand why it is done. What is achieved by putting your arms up on any ride.
I know that it must be just me because so many people do it. Is it a badge of courage? Can someone explain why? If it is a sign of courage, it's not a huge accomplishment when 3 years old are doing it...my how brave of grownups to do it.
No one will ever have to worry about my arms blocking the picture.![]()
Though I'd NEVER do it on Space Mountain...I think it'd take an arm off!Another fun way to get a thrill, rather that putting your hands up, hold hands with the people next to you all across the row. I enjoy feeling how hard my friend or family member squeezes because that is harder for them to control. If they squeeze the heck out of your hand and then try to insist that they weren't scared, you can show them the claw marks that they left.![]()

People put their arms up because it allows you to lift off your seat. It's that extra thrill. So, on ToT it's a PRIME moment to do it.
OK! And why is that a thrill again. I can lift off my seat at anytime even when it is not moving just by flexing my legs. Is airtime that thrilling?

But DD could not get enough!!!! The third time we rode, we did purchase the picture because she was smiling SO big, with her hands up.....and I was, well, holding on for dear life!!!!!
It was a great picture of DD!!!! But of all the rides we rode and viewed pictures of, I never, ever noticed someone's arms being up being a problem.

Sorry!!!!
But I love the feeling of putting my hands up! I guess I never gave it a thought about the pictures...
