Handling fees increased?

I did a quick search in the forum and nothing came up on this.

I booked a trip last night to DLP. Firstly I made a call for a quote and was told there was a credit card charge of €10. That was fine. The last time I had booked a trip I also paid a charge of €10.

However when I called a second time last night to book the trip I was told that the charge was €15! I said it to the CM that on the previous call I had been told that it was €10! She insisted that I was wrong and that it was €15. I then told her who I had previously been talking to and she put me on hold. She came back and said that it was infact €15 and that I had been told €10 by "human error". She then went on to tell me that the charge had always been €15 and that it was never €10! Which is wrong because when I booked in August I paid €10.

I found the CM quite rude and when I asked her when had the charge been increased from €10 to €15 she said that it had always been €15!

Can't believe they were so rude to you about it though, I would have asked to speak to someone higher.

It definitely used to be €10.

In hindsight I should have asked to speak to someone higher but at the time I was just so taken aback by her rudeness. I have just emailed Disney regarding this and hope to hear back from them soon! I have also asked them when did the increase come into effect.

So I got a reply already from DLP! I was told that the handling fees went up from €10 to €15 for arrivals from the 29 March 2012. Also the lady said she would revert my charge to €10 due to the service I had received.

I just priced up a holiday for this Summer on the UK site and that is showing the Credit Card Charge as £14, so that has increased from the £9 I paid last month for our upcoming trip

Not sure what it was before but for arrival after March in UK GP it's £14.00 per booking. I think that is extortionate - but let's face it, everything about Disney these days is sadly.

Not good service, but at least you got some reply and some satisfaction
