We're looking at a BWV Studio for my parents. My Dad will have an ECV, so a 1st floor room would be preferable. However, is access to one of these rooms as crazy as the 1st floor at BWI on the other side?

Last year we had a 1st floor room at the BWI. The only way to access it (via ECV) was to go in the side lobby door, take the elevator up 1 floor to the lobby level, exit and scoot over to another set of elevators, and the take one of these down to the 1st floor. I understand the whole privacy thing, about keeping the "non-BW" guests out of the pool area, but this was a bit ridiculous! It's much easier for him (and, more for us) if we don't have to deal with elevators - OR if we only need to use 1.

If you followed this far, thank you! If you have any ideas for us, I greatly appreciate it!

The Villa side has one bank of two elevators which you use to get from the lobby up to the rooms on floors 3 and above and to get down to the Boardwalk level. We had a 1st floor 1BR SV last Jan and used the doors around the Luna pool to get in and out to the boarwalk but to get to the busses it was easier to go by elevator to the lobby level and exit the front door. If I remenber anything else I'll repost. Remember 1st floor at BWV is the ground floor the main entrance is on the 2nd floor.

--- From the Boardwalk:
Walk from the boat launch towards the central entrance using the right side path near the Wyland Gallery. There will be a covered walkway just past the gallery that takes you towards the Luna pool. Turn right to enter the walkway and then at the end, turn left and walk straight ahead to an entrance door. This will lead into the BWV First Floor near the Muscles & Bustles exercise center. Follow the signs to your room number.

--- From the Bus Stop:
Walk across the street towards the valet parking lot and the pond with the fountain. There is a sidewalk path that leads to a main entrance door of the villas. This will put you on the First Floor at room 1121 (I think). When you enter, walk straight ahead and then most likely you will want to turn right and follow the signs to your room number (there are a few rooms to the left).

If your room is near the front, then you may consider using the elevator to get to the Second Floor and then exit through the lobby and then out to the bus stop.

You don't need to take any elevators if you don't want to. Hope that helps.
