Hi Everyone, I use a manuel wheelchair. I am wondering what you all do with your handbag/purses. I usually use a fannypack at Disney, which works okay while on vacation. but... I am looking for new ideas of what type of bag. Do you use long straps over your shoulder, or smaller purses tucked beside you on the chair? So, anyone want to share?

I either use a bag in my lap with a shoulder strap around me or a regular handbag. I have a rigid manual wheelchair and I bought a mesh thing that velcros on below the seat of my chair (unfortunately, it only works on rigid manual wheelchairs and only some of those) and if I'm using a regular handbag I either stick it there or just keep it on my lap. I've honestly never had a problem with just having a handbag in my lap, but I know it bothers some people.

Thank you both for you input. I am fortunate in that I can almost always transfer. The chair is folded for transportation. Do either of the bags fold with a chair?
When I asked I was thinking handbag type bags as I seem to be in and out of it for money, or sunglasses, etc. So, I like to keep it close.
For storage purposes I actually use a stroller bag (left over from when my youngest out grew her stroller) that hangs off the back of the chair. It is very useful. Unless of course we absentmindedly over fill it. :rotfl:

My girls chairs are rigid but the underpack would work with a folding chair. It attaches with straps that have clips on it so you can take it off without removing the straps attached to your chair. It attaches to the frame under your seat so it's easy to reach of money, camera, keys etc.

Oh, thank you. I'll look more into that. Thanks again!
