I'm helping organize an event with a lot of people and I'm try to price hand sanitizer. We would need about 2000 squirts. The wipes are about 5 cents each. I think the gel would be cheaper, but I haven't been able to find out how many squirts you get in a bottle. Does anyone have any idea? Sams Club has a 2 liter bottle for about $7 but I have no idea how many bottles I would need for that many people.

Sorry - I do not know how many "squirts" from a bottle. Could your try to contact any of:

Where can I find more information about PURELL and other GOJO
products?
For home use, visit www.PURELL.com. For businesses, visit www.GOJO.com. Or, contact the GOJO Customer Interaction Center at 1-800-321-9647.

Gojo brand is used in many hospitals.

I would caution on 1 thing. Eventhough you could get a large bottle of hand sanitizer for $7 -I think you be better off having more containers that were smaller, instead of larger containers and longer lines.

And - this is my personal opinion...I would skip the individual wipes. That will add a lot more garbage, and if it is a windy day, a lot of litter. Or - instead of people taking 1 wipe - they'll take 5, bacause they are convenient to toss in a purse.

And - maybe this link will help as well.

Why not just tell each person to bring their own travel-size bottle of hand sanitizer? They can get one for between 50-99 cents and then no one has to worry about lines or wipes or how to distribute it. (most people probably already have one in their purse or whatever)

Can't tell you the number of squirts, but I just saw this recently: hand sanitizer should contain at least 60% alcohol, and you should use enough that it takes at least fifteen seconds of rubbing it into your hands, for it to dry.

Hand sanitizer was even more effective than soap & water - but in both cases, it's the rubbing action that generates a lot of the germ-killing or germ-getting-rid-of.

i work in a dental office and we have to sams club hand sanitizers all over the office and waiting room now that the h1n1 is around. we all really like the sams club version...leaves your hands feeling really soft compared to others. not sure the squirts but it will last the office over a few months and that is staff using it all the time. good luck!

Not sure on the "squirts" but this is how you may be able to figure it out. Squirt a "squirt" onto a scale that measures ounces. Then divide that by the ounces in whatever bottle you plan to buy. Figure out the price and the best deal. If you can't get a reading on your scale for just one squirt, then keep squirting(keeping count of course) until you get a one ounce reading, and go from there.

Hope this helps good luck.:thumbsup2
