Hi everyone. This is my first post ever, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong category. I, along with my DH and our four children (DS 12, DS 10, DS 8, DD 6) will be visiting DW for the first time in late October. I really want to hand-make personalized autograph books for the younger three. I am looking for maybe 6x6 chipboard books or something similar. Any tups, suggestions, sample of what you've done? I am really stuck here as to which way to go.

I have been scraping and card making for 12 years so I have pretty much all the supplies imaginable. I just can't seem to find the actual chipboard album worthy of the job. Anything you can think of would be MORE than appreciated!

I dabble in scarp booking as well and decided to make the autograph books this time. I can try and post a couple of the pics that I have taken tomorrow. I am I where near done. It is taking quite a while to make them. Basically what I am doing is a 6X6 double page layout for each character. 1 side for a photo and 1 side for the autograph. I have also bought tons of stickers and such to help decorate the pages. I was actually just second guessing myself tonight that I have made some of the signature cards too small and hope they will work out. I also have not even made the covers yet.

Thank you so much, I would LOVE to see what you have!

I am the queen of NOT CRAFTY. But I made a great book for DD on our last trip. One of my best tips is using character stickers to decorate the pages you will have signed, rather than printing pages. I used random stickers that we had gathered over time -- from birthday parties, dentist visits, and the Disney movie club -- to complement some that I bought specifically for the book. I also ordered a variety of Disney paper and accessories online from scrapbook.com.

I used a 3-ring binder because I wasn't happy with the chipboard options I found. The inside pages are 5x8. They were perfectly sized for autographs and "special touches," like a big lipstick kiss from Pocahontas and birthday wishes from Minnie. I also popped in a couple of pocket parts to hold the other treasures my DD collected.

Love the pocket idea!!!!!!

I made DD5 autograph book out of a sketch note book. It was spiral bound thick card board front back. Plain pages but thicker then standard paper more like card stock. I decorated the cover and the back and I let her add stickers to the inside pages. Added some ribbon just because and it was a big hit! Once we got home I added photos of her and the characters to the opposite page. She LOVES to look at it!

I've done several autograph books for my nieces over the years and here is what I have found to work best for me!!

I buy index cards that are spiral bound. Once side of the card is lined the other isn't. I carry that and a sharpie with me and have each character sign the non lined side of the card. Then I take of picture of my niece with that character.

When I get home, I buy an 8 x 8 Disney scrapbook and then do a two page layout for each character, the autograph on one side, the picture on the other. This way you can really personalize it based on which characters you saw!

I made my last autograph book as a Manila folder mini album and had the inserts be tags of which the characters could sign. It worked out great and I received a lot of compliments on my little book.
