Hello out there! We are going to WDW first week in December and I was wondering if any of you are going to be using those Hand Held Radios? you know the ones...they are just about the size and shape of your hand and they can be found at any Walmart, Costco etc.? I know some of the newer ones have a range of about five miles but I'm not sure if they are worth it. any feedback please? with a 16 year old and 10 year old twins I am thinking I'd feel more comfortable with them.

We've used them every trip. I love them too, especially w/kids. But we have the cheap ones so you pick up so many other people on them. I've heard that the more expensive ones work better and don't pick up all of that extra noise.

yessiree we took em - they are ok - pony up the extra money and get the five milers or at least get ones that have channels and security codes.... that way there is a Huuugggeeee number of combinations... I have heard from people who have sets that do not have the codes or subchannels that at times they were useless because there is so much chatter on them from strangers. but if you are going the first week of december maybe it won't be that big of a deal as the parks will be relatively empty

we used them and they were AWESOME!!! I would never go without them!!!!!

I bought a pair for myself and my DW, but our cells phone seem so much easier to use.
