Hammocks at Polynesion to view fireworks?

Are there hammocks upon which to sit and watch fireworks over the Magic Kingdom? (Trying to find something to fill the time on our first day there without wasting a day of admission!)

Our first night on 3/28 we ate at Ohana's (watched the fireworks during dinner from the windows) and then strolled around the Poly for a few minutes before going out to the beach to watch the water parade. I don't recall hammocks but we did sit on a nice large wooden swing and there were beach chairs all over. You should be able to find a place to relax and watch. It was a great first night!

Yes there are hamocks at the poly beach along with swings and loungers. The hammocks are going first off so get there early to get one.

There is a sign on the beach of the Polynesian now stating it is for the use of the resort guests.

I would suggest a dining reservation, that way you will not have any problems with entry to the resort.

You might want to read the posts from an earlier discussion of this topic as some guests have begun to complain to management of the Polynesian about non Polynesian guests taking the hammocks and chairs for the fireworks and the paying guests not being able to get one.

I would go with dinner there and you will be a guest. The previous discussion is listed below.

Hi,
I don't know when you plan on visiting but be aware the fireworks are not necessarily on display at the Magic Kingdom every night. Check out Disneyworld.com for the latest hours and events.
