Hamburger Buns?

OK, this might be a little weird, but it's been a while since I've been to Disney and last time we went, Disneyland had these awful whole wheat buns on the cheeseburgers, we just decided to go to DL in May and were thinking of bringing our own buns to eat with our burgers, we wanted something that tasted like bread, so I have a couple of questions...

1. Can we ask not to have a bun? Would they do that? I would hate to throw it away.

2. Do they have these on all sandwiches with buns or just the burgers?

3. Any ideas on how to carry them without getting them smooshed.

4. Also we'll be going to WDW in September, do they have the wheat buns, or is it a "California" thing. If this bun experiment goes well we might do it in Florida.

Wheat Buns are now standard at ALL WDW Cs dining.It is on the burgers and Hotdogs.Not so sure about sandwiches( but my guess is yes) and you can ask them for a burger no bun.Not sure how to carry buns with you in the park, since I happen to like the whole wheat ones.

Every time we receive a computer survey after a trip to WDW I make sure to take the time to respond, and every time I mention the horrible buns. I have received only the canned response that "we appreciate your input", etc. I wish every family that responds to these surveys (and feels the same about the buns) would make a point to give it a mention. Sometimes I feel that I am a lone "voice crying in the wilderness."

Even though the counter service locations all have the Whole Wheat Buns which do taste horrible, for whatever reason if you order a Hamburger or Cheeseburger from a table service restaurant they still have White Buns. In December 2010 I ordered Cheeseburgers from the ESPN Club and Beaches & Cream, which tasted a lot better then the Cheeseburgers from the counter service locations.

I don't really order burgers at Disney, so I have no idea how bad these wheat buns may be... but it bums me out that Disney can't do a good tasting wheat bun. I only buy whole wheat organic buns at my house and they are delicious.

As for how to carry them, find a bun that will fit into a round Rubbermaid/Tupperware like container.

It took us a few days at the parks last time to figure out that breakable things like granola bars need a hard container.
