Okay I am in!! We've never done the "party"... when the kids were really little, we'd go to DL on Halloween and CM's used to give them candy once it got dark! One of my very favorite pictures ever is of my kids dressed as Minnie ane Mickey trick or treating at DL. They must have been 1 and 4? So 7 years ago.

ANYWAY... I decided I really wanted to go, so the kids, my parents, and I are all going on the 10th! Wahooooo!! DH politely declined... he'll be having enough Disney shortly thereafter with 11 days at WDW and on DCL. He could NOT understand why I wanted to "pay all that extra" when we're just going to WDW a few weeks later... geesh man, have you no Disney pixie dust?!!!

I haven't told the kids yet, but my parents are excited to come join us! I think the three of us will be in pirate costume... the kids decided, oh a year ago that they would be pirates this year so that they'll be "ready" for Pirate Night on the Wonder! They still like to have matching costumes, and more often than not are Disney.

Yea yea!! I'm really excited!

So far on the 10th my little girl will be Jasmine, already bought her outfit last weekend. Not sure what me or hubby will be yet. I have a H*ll's Belle costume from a few years ago, it's a tattered kinda scary looking Belle costume, but I'm not sure it's appropriate for this party. I wore it to an adult party a few years ago, and it was funny since Belle has always been my favorite princess.

I love the idea of seeing what everyone else is going to be, how fun!!!!!

I think it would be fine as long as it is over thr bounds short. even then you prob wear like some spanx type shorts under it. I have seen the scary snow whit it was npt bad//. I wanted alice but looks like lots are doing that so im going mailyn monroe in ner pink diamonds dress

It's not short at all, here's a link to what it looks like (don't know how to post pics) I don't wear the neck chain...don't like things around my neck, and looks a bit much for me. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether this is appropriate for the MTOT Party? All input is appreciated. If someone knows how to make the link into a pic that would be great too! TIA!

Going October 3rd. Youngest dd will be either Mary Poppins or Bo Peep. Oldest dd will either be Winter Belle...

or she has one more Belle dress coming that Auntie is working on. Although it looks like it might rain on that night.

I've seen that online and I love it!!! I think it's very cute and not too short at all. In fact, in one of the pics Mary Jo posted on page 23 you can see someone in the background with this costume on:

Honestly, it's no shorter then the cheerleading costumes the teens wear during the HSM show they do. So I wouldn't worry about it.

If you don't think that one is too short, then maybe I'll just wear my Goldilocks one with some leggings underneath. That way I wont need to buy a costume! ...if I get to go that is.

I think you should wear your Goldilocks costume! I bet it's cute.
Sure, there might be some people who think those costumes are too short, but honestly there is no way to please everyone. So as long as you are not wearing something see-through, or super low cut, or bringing in a stripper pole and collecting dollars, then I'd go for it.

Everyone is just there to have a good time, and while I am looking forward to seeing all the costumes, I'm certainly not going to be judging and critiquing everyone of them. I'm going to be having to much fun for that!

Last year there were some very attractive college girls dressed up like the Pussycat Dolls. My then 7 and 9 yo daughters were shocked and asked a lot of questions the rest of the night.
I like the candy corn costume and don't think it's inappropriate - girls/women wear shorts more revealing than that and most people don't give them a second look.

I'm not so sure about my Borat thong costume though, that may not go over so well.
