Halloween

Please tell me everything I need to know about the halloween season at DLP. I went two years ago and really liked the dark theme that DLP over the happy and joy of WDW.

Now that we live in Europe I thought I would like to bring our son to see DLP and do it while the park is dressed for halloween.

What special parties are there for Halloween? Do people dress up? I love to sew customs for the park and costumes for halloween. Is there a DLP halloween tutorial?

I am very happy that DVC did away with the 3 night min and park pass purchases. Even so, we will most likely look for a good hotel deal.

The theme for Halloween at DLP changed last year, so to see some of the differences have a look at October trip reports from 2011 in the trip reports board.

Thanks for the great info. The terrific is going to be too much for our son so we are thinking just the regular halloween party, or even just going to see the park in Oct around the end when crowds won't be so bad.

It's French school holidays from the 27th until the 11th of November so the park will be busy busy

I think the English are off too same time frame but someone will confirm

You can dress up for the park party on the 31st

yes Carrie, some English schools (I think most this year) have w/c 29th October as their half term week.

I just checked our school schedule and the kids are off the 15 Oct so it will work just perfect to go to DLP and Paris for a few days.

Some Scottish schools are off that week, but it won't have much of an impact

We had our halloween trip a few years ago during the same week and the parks were almost empty. You can see some pics in my trip report on my sig, if that helps. It was great. Really want to go again this year.

Ours are w/c 22/10 this year - I had to double check when the holiday sheet came home as its a week earlier than usual - I think you're in the same county as me? although you may come under the City but I believe they're both the same?. Seems a bit odd I can't work out why.

So are we the only ones then? I know the City are proposing changes for 5 term year but we're in the county and no changes - so far! Could be a good opportunity to go away then if theres less on holiday.
