What are they predicting weather-wise in your neck of the woods?

Right now - for up here at the lake - low 40's..

Down to DD's - about 50 degrees..

Is it just me - or does anyone else remember Halloween not being cold like it is nowadays? All the way into the 70's, I don't ever remember dreading the idea of trick or treating because it was too cold or coats were needed..:confused3

I remember trick or treating in the snow ;) a little white stuff wasn't going to stop me from getting my candy!

Our trick or treat night is Thrusday I'm guessing because of Friday night football games? anyway our weather is high's in the 50's lows in the mid 30's. Still undecided on weather or not to take baby out Trick or Treating!

I feel like trick or treating in the warmer weather is strange. It seems to have been warm for the last couple of years. I always remembered having to wear a coat when I was little.:confused3 Our forecast is for highs in the 50's. I love this time of year. I could never live in Florida.

High in the mid 50's for our area which is just about right for Halloween around here. I think the 'remembering' is that kids just don't get cold like us old folks do, plus they are moving, running, etc. so 50 seems warm.

High in the 50's dropping to 35 that night. We are due for snow tonight through Tuesday.

Hey it's northern Michigan

Looking like the kiddos will have to try to fit their coats under their costumes.. :goodvibes

Well today (1-4) was trick or treat in our development and it turned out to be a real nice day, its 52º

I remember going out when I was little and having to wear a coat under my costume...
When the kids were small (they are 28 and 21) almost always had to wear coats. Rarely did we have a "Nice" Halloween.

so, no, I don't remember it being warmer back then.....

Here it will be high 72, low 52..so I am thinking around low 60's for trick or treating. This should be very comfortable walking around without jackets. I used to live in the Detroit area and one of my "fondest" memories is my mom trying to get me to wear a coat (not jacket, coat!) over my kitty cat leotard outfit.

"But Mmmmmooommmm....it will rrrruuuiiinnnn my costume!"

Who else has whined that when they went out into the cold dark Halloween night?

My winter coat took away the magic of my princess, gypsie or fairy outfits. ;) Didn't really matter if I was a hobo, as I could throw on my brother's old coat. I don't remember a warm Halloween, but after walking/running for miles, we would get pretty warm.

Am I the only one to remember the old - fashioned half masks made of stiffened fabric that would start "melting" as the night went on?

I was in Detroit in the 50s, and I can remember as a very small child wishing that I didn't have to wear my coat over my costume. I'd hope every year that it wouldn't be cold, but it always was.

Now in Louisiana I am praying that I can finally turn off my a/c before Christmas.

I remember when I was in NJ and i didnt have to wera anything under my costume and now that we are in AZ yea it never gets that cold lol :) to worry about that

We are lucky this year high in the 70's and lows in the 50's, half of the time my kids are sweating in their costumes!

I have no idea...havent looked...
We've had years where we were in skimpy costumes and comfortable, and years where we bundled up like crazy..... I dont think there is a 'norm' or 'average' temp in Ga... lol
