I need some new ideas. Easy would be good! Thanks!

My daughter's favorite are what she calls "mummy wraps". She begged me to make them again this year for our annual Halloween party so I did and they were all gone 5 minutes after setting them out :thumbsup2

They're really just little pigs in a blanket but you wrap them to look like mummys.

You'll need:
Cocktail wieners
Cresent rolls

Roll out the cresent rolls and cut into long thin strips (I use a pizza slicer to do this)
Roll the strips around each wiener leaving a small space for a face.
Bake at 350 degrees until the bread is golden brown (10-15 min).
Serve

The original recipe I had suggested putting a couple of dots of mustard on the "face" for eyes. Since DD doesn't care for mustard I don't .

They are tasty :)

I was watching HGTV halloween special yesterday and saw cute appetizers.

There was a bowl of fondue made from white chocolate chips, butter, and cream with red food dye to look like blood. Served with pretzel rods, strawberries, and sponge cake. They called them spooky things like spider arms(pretzel rods), bat hearts(strawberries) and something for the sponge cake.

There was also "blood" popcorn which I think would have been neat made into a popcorn ball.

A drink of green goo was made from peeled kiwis, sugar, seltzer and all mixed in a blender/food processor.

My friend makes "sushi" with rice krispy treat stuff smoothed onto fruit roll ups and then cut into pieces.

Witches' fingers. I take sugar cookie dough and roll it out thin and crooked, like a long finger. Bake according to package and use green frosting to make a nail. (I've also used a almond to make the long pointy nail tip and put the frosting on top of that)

One of our favorites - Payday mix - mix a bag of candy corn with a can of dry roasted peanuts. Tastes just like a payday candy bar.

Shape meatball mix into small ovals with flat bottoms and bake. Dress the "meatballs/mice" with thin red licorice for the tails and whiskers and use red hots or candy corn or whatever small edible candy pieces for the eyes and tiny pieces of carrots for the nose. Lay the mice on spaghetti sauce on platter. "Mice on blood";) Mom always served this with guts (spaghetti) but as an app, the mice would be great!

My DD is having a Halloween themed birthday party this year, so we've been scouing the internet for great ideas...

I saw these on a website.

Witch finger cheese sticks.

Unwrap cheese sticks and round off the top with a paring knife, and cut "knuckles" into the stick. Add a sliced almond with a dap of cream cheese to "glue" it to the top of the "finger".

Skull dip

Using a skull mold, fill it with softened cream cheese and freeze for about 30 mins. Invert into a bowl and pour red salsa over it. Serve with corn chips.

We are also making BBQ chicken wings and calling them "Bloody Bat Wings" ;)

Brain dip.

Simple spinach dip (any excuse to have spinach dip is a good one) put into a hollowed out cauliflower. the bumps of the cauliflower and and green swirls in the dip make for a nice brain.

Dipping carrots , celery and pieces of bread into a brain is a great treat.

Oh these are great! LOL DD10 is having a Halloween party so I'm trying to find things that kids will eat. It's harder then I thought it would be. lol I know we are going to have pizza to eat (our party is 5-8 pm) and cupcakes but I hadn't gotten very far with everything else. :) I'll be watching this thread for sure!

I made a barfing pumpkin last year. Took a good sized pumpkin, carved it with a large round mouth, set it on a platter, had salsa and guacamole coming out of its mouth onto the platter, and tossed in a few plastic spiders. The kids thought it was the best thing ever, and can't wait to do it again this year.
