Halloween Screams from the left of the castle?

Can anyone tell me a reference point on the map for where we should aim to watch Halloween Screams from. This is our first visit and I have read in others trip reports that they were too far left and had trees obstructing their view. We really want to be able to see Jack and Zero and want to make sure that if we set aside time to wait for a spot that we are in the right place! We will not be watching PnT so want to be to the left of the castle when facing it.
Is it more ideal to be back by the Bakery or closer to the castle by #2 on the map-Maurices Treats?
Are there any benches in that area or do they get taken hours early during the parties?

Thank you!!!

Jack will be to the left on the castle, so you really should be center or to the right in order to see him. If you are too far to the left by JHB, there may be trees in the way.

Any estimates on how early we would have to claim a spot to be up near the castle for Halloween Screams?

It depends on how far back you are and how far to the left you are planning on being...

The globe where they project the images appears on the left side of the castle. It comes up above the left-most turret, to the left of the main part of the castle (about where the red arrow is located).

Zero tends to between the globe and the right side of the castle (maybe halfway to the Matterhorn at most). So to get the best view of him, you really need to be centered or to the right(ish) side of the castle. In terms of the trees, I recommend looking on Google Earth and getting a sense of where the lines of sight might work the best. I've watched from two different locations recently. The first was on Main Street, about parallel to the Photo Shop. You get a pretty good view of everything from there. I've also watched on the Street behind the Partners Statue and you can see Zero pretty clearly, but the trees on either side of the Hub do obscure some of the globe.

At our MHP (sold out weeknight), we walked by the Hub before 8pm, and the front section looked very full already. The side sections were also full. I think if you want front, center Hub viewing for HS, you will need to be there well before 8pm, maybe as early as 7pm (depending on the party night).

Thanks. That's what I figured, but I appreciate having some confirmation.
