Halloween Questions

Well, i'm going to disney in october for the first time with a friend of mine... very much looking forward to the halloween season (having seen vanilla and christmas).

What can I expect to be different apart from the obvious theming, are there any "must do's" for this time of year? We're going from the 15th to the 19th...

Halloween used to be a lot of fun. However, the last couple of years the theming has been minimal

Some people have still enjoyed it (perhaps okay for families with younger children?), but I personally wouldn't do Halloween again, until they made more of an effort.

Perhaps they will this year as it's the 20th?

Well, we're already booked and paid for 4 nights each. We only paid £360 each for the SL so we're happy with that! Just wanted to know if there is anything majorly different to do events wise or parades wise!

As a family, Halloween has always been our favourite time to go. The parks are always a lot quieter than any other season and it's always a lot of fun. The last time I went they had a whole theme going on whereby there were the 'Pink Witches' and the 'Orange Pumpkins' who were fighting against each other to either paint the whole park orange/pink! At times they were very mischievous and a lot of fun to watch, so if they're sticking with that theme this year keep a look out & get involved!

The parade is also great, it gives the disney villains their chance to shine and I'm sure as it is the 20th anniversary they'll make it extra special

The celebration also stretches out to the Disney Village. They have giant characters on stilts walking round outside trying to cause as much trouble as they can, and it's always very entertaining to watch - especially from one of the window seats in Billy Bobs!

My best advice would be to just keep your eyes peeled and take it all in, I'm sure they've got some extra special things up their sleeves for the 20th anniversary!!

It's such a shame they've scaled down on the Halloween theming. We went in 2010 which I think was the last year they did all of the above and it was amazing. I'm so glad we went then and until they bring back mnsshp etc we probably won't bother going then again. I wonder if it's because so much has been put into the 20th celebrations that they've had to make cuts elsewhere.

However, that said if you've not been at that time of year before then you're not really going to miss any of those things! I'm sure the theming will still seem lovely on 'fresh eyes' and you'll have a fantastic time!

I think they are doing the spookier 'terrorific' nights in the studios for Halloween which sound great for adults/older parties.

ETA: just checked and it seems the terrorific nights are later in the month only, sorry!
