Is California open during the Halloween party and do you need a party ticket to go just to California?

Assuming it is open how does it usually fair for crowds during the hallloween party?

We went to DCA during a Friday night Halloween party in 2010. It was so freaking busy. Everyone that left Disneyland seemed to go over there. We waited over an hour in line to ride TOT and decided that the other lines were too long so we just left.

Unless something changes the parties will be in only one park, and I doubt in both would be a possibility.

This year it will help and hurt. With Cars Land open there is going to be a lot more to do during DCA evening. Of course Cars Land may draw more people to DCA not helping the crowd situation. DCA will probably have longer hours regardless of it being a party night or not.
