E bought tickets to the Halloween party last year and got a small DVC discount. I seem to remember purchasing them directly from the DVC site. However, I can't seem to find it to purchase for this year. Am I just blind? Anyone know where to purchase them?

Thanks!

Just call MS - they can sell you the tickets over the phone with the discount (if there are still discounted tickets available for the party that you want to attend). The tickets can either be mailed to you (for a fee), or picked up at will-call at the park.

On the home page of the website, scroll toward the bottom. Under "Membership Perks and Special Offers," there is a link to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Discounted Tickets for Members.

have any of you been to this party? my fiance and I will be down there in October, but have never been to it. Would the two of us adults enjoy it or is it more for kids trick or treating?

Thanks!

Just curious if you already have an annual pass would you consider it worth it to pay the additional ticket price for this party? I'm having a hard time justifying the extra cost. Can you see the same fireworks and parade during regular hours?

No you cannot. Only at the party. We think the Halloween party is worth it.

We love the Halloween Party, as do the kids. We have been twice without the kids even - so yes, you should definitely go!

Could one of you kind members who has done the party describe what happens and is available at the Halloween Party. Reading Disney's description, I know there is a parade, fireworks, Disney characters in halloween style and something called happy hollows and there is trick or treat, but a few more details would help. Also, does it include any food or drink items, for trick or treat do they give any edibles other than candy, and are all the attractions, rides and restaurants open?

No free food other than candy. Many rides are open but not every ride in the whole park. Some restaurants are open, but not all. The fireworks, characters, and parade are the main attractions.

In the past they have offered raisins as an alternative treat. I don't remember if they had anything else non-candy. It's been a few years since I've done one. The last one I went to I thought they were giving out a lot more low quality candy (Dum Dum Pops, Smarties, Laffy Taffy, flavored Tootsie Roll midgees, in other words pure sugar) rather than the good stuff (M&M's, Milky Ways, Snickers, Twix, etc.)

Happy Hallowishes is the special fire works, they are awesome. The parade is very unique. The Headless Horseman is definitely a sight worth seeing as he leads off the parade. The whole Haunted Mansion portion of the parade is a must see also, especially the grave diggers. One year we got chosen to be Honorary Marshals in the parade.

Almost every ride is open. The Butlers & Maids at HM are particularly ghastly, ghostly looking during the party.

Restaurants are a bit more limited. Usually for CS you have Casey's, Pecos Bills & Cosmic Rays and a few smaller spots like Sleepy Hollow & Aloha Isle. Most of the ice cream & drink carts are shut down. The TS take reservations for party goers but I don't like to waste party time doing a sit down meal. A few times we went to LTT when they still had the characters but I made early reservations before the party actually started so we didn't waste any party time. I strongly advise anyone going to the party to eat before the official party start time so they don't waste the limited party time.

There are usually photo ops with some rarer characters such as Maleficent, Frollo & a few other villains, numerous "Cards" and other characters from Alice in Wonderland to name a few, in addition to the regular characters in Halloween attire.

We have AP's and have also purchased the MNSSHP Tix this year and in prior years. The hard ticket event means that there are virtually no lines for the attractions as those without tickets will be waived out of the park once its party time.

The parade is fabulous! You will not see this one at other times, and the Headless Horseman is a real WOW factor!

The costumes are really something to see on all the kids - big and little ones. We usually wear only a Halloween shirt and perhaps a Minnie witch hat, and Johnny Depp (Pirate's) hair for DH, lol.

I highly recommend this party! :)

Thanks for the descriptions above. In all the many years we have been going to WDW, we have never done the Halloween Party and this year looks like it will be the first.

Oh it is fun..we have gone a few times. but as with everything Disney lately they raise the price and take away the perks...we used to get a free picture, face painting, free stroller, good candy, and on and on, and seemed like all rides were open .:scared1:

They have good candy again - at least they did last year. I stole everyone's Twix bars! ;)

The characters are everywhere and for my DD it was worth it. We've seen Aurora many times, but were able to see her with Prince Philip and waited less than 10 mins. They even sang "Once Upon a Dream" with her. There are other characters that you don't see much. She was super excited to see Trtk from Tarzan.

In my opinion it's worth it. We don't do any parks on this day. Instead we enjoy the pool or Downtown Disney, take a nap, and then go just for the party. That way the only cost is the party tix.
